Continuing GW1 Players

I might get Guild Wars 2 depending on the reviews it gets, Collector's Edition won't be gone that quick and if it is oh well. I probably won't get any games besides that though, if Guild Wars 2 doesn't completely interest me I'll return to the original to screw around since everything will be 100g or something.

GW1 was the first (and only) MMO that caught my attention. Even now after I did pretty much everything I wanted to do in game I still log on regularly and will keep on coming back until they ultimately shut down the servers <_<. As for GW2 I don't like the way anet are heading with it and I won't be playing it.

With Guild Wars 2 on it's way, are there any people out there who will continue playing Guild Wars 1 exclusively?

I won't be buying GW2, that's for sure. Whether I'll carry on with GW1 depends really.

If I do continue with GW1 at all, it will be only because members of my guild haven't moved on. This game has had a great run, but after six years (probably seven by that point) I've done everything there is to do. HoM is finished. I'm just looking forward to what comes next.

I won't uninstall GW1 until they close the servers. I won't log in as often, probably just for festivals and new content, but I will go on with it as long as it exists.

Ok if gw2 is abysmal then I will have a rethink but that's not very likely and even if it was dire it would mean playing gw1 as usual till another game takes my attention.
Will turn up for all the Festivals esp the Asian New Year as I want a mini dragon from 2012

If ANet wants to sell more GW 1 it will be easy to add gear in GW 2 that you can ony pay for in GW 1 since the mechanism for doing that already exists in the form of the HoM.
Selling two games is better than selling one game so I think there will still be people around.

imo I'll hope there will be some connection between the games, so I can still do something with all the work I've put in this game the last 6 years. If so, I'll probably still be on. If not, only time can tell.
