I've seen plenty of threads for R9, but what would you say the current prices are for R8 celestial items (inscribable)? particularly a shield, sword, or hammer.

q8's only dropped pre NF (although q8 max shields should still be possible to drop) and in Cantha, thus being uninscribable. The inscribables drop only from Zchest, and as such can't be q8 and max.

Both shields and swords can still drop Q8. Along with Foci, no other kinds of items though.

But celestials cant come inscriable in r8 due that its only end chest/zaishen chest drop inscriable which cant drop r8

Zchest I don't know about. But I've seen both dropping past 6 months. Sword and shield that is. Actually foci too when I think about it but stupid white xD
