Put Festival Hats in Store

Seems like it would be a nice idea because it would:

A) Bring more money for ANet!

B) Finally give suckers like me who weren't around in '05 a chance to wear the santa hat

Group them by holidays, and call them Holiday Hat Pack: [Holiday]. Have 3 of them, one for Wintersday, one for Halloween, and one for the miscellaneous others that we've had. I've actually been wanting this for a while.

I would actually love for this to happen since I missed some events because of finals and deleting characters before I knew you could give them to the hat guy.

...but, I do feel like people who were actually there deserve to have those hats. Maybe have the same hats but recolored in a way that you can tell it was bought from the store and not the actual hat from the event?

The people who have been here since the game came out could still have the original hats but still provide the same skin for people who weren't around then. It's more for respecting the people who have the originals more than anything.

i'd like to see em to be able to get, but not with money, thats just a stupid easy way out

let everyone deserve the same, this game is filled with elitism so far already, this only would make it worse

let em put all previous hats in the upcoming events, much more user-friendly, and still fun to get.... for those who wanna get it

the game isnt just about waving around with money, its more to have fun, and paying for every little thing is just plain dumb and user-unfriendly

1. people who cant afford much, may not be able to get them all
2. feeding those money wavers with more stuff they have to pay for, makes them think they are even more "elite" (so called elitism in both game and reallife)

Those "Money Wavers" are helping Anet by paying for the stuff you are doing for free. They are not bad people and "elitists" because they pay for a costume or a character slot. That has nothing to do with elitism. They do it to help support Anet and for a pretty item for their character which has no effect whatsoever on your personal game play.

Those people earned those festival hats for being with GW for all these years. It is something special they have to show for their length of playing and their support for this game. Yes it sucks that we can't have the hats from years ago, but that is something that those who were here years ago, earned. It is like saying I should be allowed to get sixth year B-Day presents on my first B-Day because it isn't fair cause I wasn't here for six years.

I say no. Its a sign that you were at the event. You shouldn't be able to get it back.

Only way I would support this would be if it went off your account age.

If your account is old enough to get the hat then you can get it from the hat trader for a fee.

I would like this it is purely cosmetic so no harm. I have been playing since day 1 and because my life got in the way I wasn't able to go to every event. And I really doubt that being AFK at an event to get a hat is not brag worthy as some might say a hat is. I would even say that being AFK isn't really ATTENDING anything. So anywho /signed.

I'd rather they recycle the hats and people still have to participate in the event to get them.
