I've always regretted rerolling my monk on the 2nd month of when GW first came out. I did it because everywhere I looked I would always see a monk with the Princess Leia buns just like mine. So I deleted her and created another just to look as different as I could from the mold. She will turn 6 soon enough, and another makeover is long overdue, lol.

yea still sad merc packs arent going on sale there is no way in hell that im going to pay $45 jsut got get teh heros that i want. if they had gone on 50% off sale like the rest of them i would have bought them. but at $45 no. i could buy 2~3 new and exciting games for that price, and not invest it in a game that might have its sequel in around a year.

So im disapointed by the sales.. tho i did think aobut get storadge panes i ended up not doing it. oh well anet doesnt like me :P

Im not going for any of those lol
storage panes: already had as many as Im allowed.
bonus mission pack: already have it (although never completed any besides the gwen one)
makeover pack: bought one when they were new, happy with how all my chars look now.
eye of the north: already have it and have no intrest in having an extra account.
char slot: already have 10, so 1 for each profession in the game so Im good.

And then ofc. Im going through a tough time economicly, so even if I did need/want any of those I would not buy and just be sad that even with it on sale I can't really afford it xD

but if I didn't already have my needs for these items satisfied and I did have the money to spare.... yes... yes I would quite possibly buy at least some of those things.

i wonder if they'll post any stats or any feedback after this half off thing ends...i'm curious if they're getting a massive spike in sales.

i know i, personally, wouldn't even entertain the thought of purchasing these items at "normal" pricing, but with "50%" off they're slightly more appealing...still overpriced but at least i'll look at them.

That's actually my position, minus the thought that they are overpriced. I can't see a reason for them to post business stats since they are privately held, but I think they're getting decent revenue from these sales like any retail business would.

I don't think that things are overpriced, though. I work in the technology business, and one that's based on transactions that are even more micro than ANet's (as in ... billions per month), and I'm sure they're trying to monetize GW1 as much as they can to support R&D on GW2. That's how this business works. I respect that, and don't think they're offering a bad value for the money.

Well you get some ingame weapons from doing the missions but I would say unless you enjoy solo missions you should stay the hell away from it, personally I loathe solo missions.

Yeah bmp is kinda lame in the end. I've never played em again since they came out. I hate solo missions, specifically because you can't play your own character, you actually turn into someone else.

I got the panes, I might get a make over pack and some char slots but the spacing between them is a bit lame I guess. I'd hate to be on holiday for a week just when something I really wanted was on sale. On month with some sales at the same time would've suited me better. Oh well.

Yeah, the only thing I want is cheaper char slots.

Mainly so I can get a perma-pre ranger and get LDOA.

And maybe finally play an assassin for more than just the Shing Jea missions.
Got fed up with the playstyle on my first one after Zen Daijun.
Especially since I have a few Thunderfist's Brass Knuckles that should be put to use.

Just thinking about it, one male of each class + one female of each class is 20, but it's nice they give you an extra 5 for mules.

The skins are awesome, and I don't mind the solo missions..but I don't think I can stand playing the missions over and over again to get the weapons I want. It IS cheap though...mmmmmmmm

why not 50% off everything in the online store for one month. this is fail. the only things i'd consider buying are maybe costumes and a mercenary slot, which arent even on sale

My guess is that their merc sales must be doing quite well so they deem that there is no need to hold a discount on merc slots when the demand is so high.

You can gauge this demand by looking at the high prices and low availability of the popular runes in the rune trader inventory.

I think they could have made the BMP a lot more popular than it is now. The BMP was released in a time in GW history where ANet was more sensitive to player's rant on micro transactions giving players unfair advantages in the game.

They could have tried things like:

1. Reset the Discovery mode bonus goals every once in a while, kind of like the repeating weekend events. Right now, these can only be completed once per account which is lame. Such an implementation means there is no incentive to play the BMP missions again after you have accomplished all the discoveries ONCE, besides just getting another customized weapon.

Nowadays a 2.5k reward every once in a long while is not a big deal, and with WiK we have an easier way of getting weapons anyway.

It is ANet's fault that their BMP is not selling as well as it could be. Because it has almost zero value after you have made all the discoveries, which is not difficult.

Yeah but this is it. It's about opinions, like everything. You like it, but I know I hate having to play premade builds and I currently use NONE of the bmp skins. In fact they weren't as nice as they seemed at first. But...that's my opinion.

For me the bmp was just one of these things I wasn't hoping for them to put on sale.

The panes yes, the customisation packs are cool and yes the character slot one will have me buying a few more slots. I just wish I could buy all of that now in one go, instead of now postponing my plans for a new pre searing character for another couple of weeks because of the way the sale is organised.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with the discounts but I guess it's not really done in a practical way.

I bought 4 panels. I have 15 slots on my main account and my storage was still full with loads of PVP mules.

The storage panes are a lot more convenient.

About a couple of years back I tried to buy a slot and it would not let me I have 25 slots. Since I have no need for another slot I will not try to get another one to test how many you can get.

Hmm, a little extra content and some neat skins for 5 bucks? Sounds reasonable.

I'm a little annoyed they aren't putting the merc packs on sale ever though. I would have got a few if they were 50% off, but the normal prices are exorbitant.
