I have been away from Guild Wars since the days off Sin farming the UW with perma shadowform and it being very easy for the full clear. Now i am back with a new fresh account and can't decide which profession will stand me in good grounds for getting into UW groups/FoW/Any other HM or challenging farms.
Thanks
Which Profession for farming/solo?

You could look on pvx wiki and see which professions are used in the area's you wanna do, but assassins are still used quite alot in most speedclears.

Easy solution - visit both gwpvx and check the farming section here on guru and look and decide yourself which professions role you like/feel able to do.
Also something to consider is - is the profession going to be used if theres a nerf on the way ?.None of us want a new chr thats had skill changes and has become dropped from any sc teams.
Asking the community on which profession to use will probably give several diff answers - hence i say judge for yourself .

There are different classes and builds wanted for the various clears you mentioned, so that can't be pinned down quite so much. Assassin seems to come up a lot though.
For ordinary farming for materials, The Traveller items, etc., an SoS Rit is a common choice.

I would suggest a Rit, Spirit spammer and Vengeful Weapon builds are very reliable for farming.

Thanks guys, just going to make a Mesmer since i've never had one followed by a Ele/Necro/Ranger and Sin. It doesn't take long to get to 20 so no point focussing one so much i guess.

getting all your pve skills up for a character - VERY time consuming.....
