Jennur's Horde Masters
CirdanValen
This mission is going to make me kill babies . This is the last mission I need to get masters on to get Elonian Protector title.
Here is what I did this past try:
I ignore the first two Harbringers to keep the spawning groups to a minimum, then killed the harbringer at the top of the stairs and waited for the spawn group. Once that group is gone, I kill either the left or right static group depending on who I aggro. After killing one group, I flag back to the middle and wait for the next spawn group, then kill the static group on the other flank. After the next spawn group, I went to the second harbringer and killed him. I flag my heroes back a little, let the mobs kill the spirit and then pull them back into the room so I can avoid aggroing the group in the middle. After killing this group, I flag my heroes back to the stairs while I run back to Hinon to get a Light. At some point during this the first Sprit died. My heroes have no problem holding off the groups while I run back to spawn. We run over to the other harbringer and kill him, following the same tactic of pulling the group back. Again, I flag them back to the stairs to guard against the spawn groups while I go get another Light. After deafeating that spawn group, I flag my heroes at the bottom of the stairs where the bonus is. I run up, drop the light and kill the harbringer and run down, then did the same to the other bonus. I didn't realize until a little later that you have to kill their whole possy :P. So after killing a spawn group, we run up the stairs and kill the group. Just as I kill the last monster, a spawn group is released. I was able to run down and stop them, but my heroes were unable to catch up in time to heal and dps. I died, and the mob moved down to Hinon. I get resurrected and get down there as fast as I can only to have Hinon die. Spent 45 minutes running back and fourth killing to stupid spawn mobs...only to fail so close to the finish line.
Here is the setup:
I play Warrior with Eviscerate, Sprint, "For Great Justice", and Flail among others
Tahlkora is healer monk with Word of Healing, Healing Seed, Vigorous Spirit, and Words of Comfort.
Ogden is prot monk with Shield of Deflection, Aegis, Healing Seed, Shielding Hands, and Extinguish
Koss is sword war with Hundred Blades, "Shields Up"
Vekk is earth/air ele with Ward against Melee, Elemental Attunement, Earthquake, and others
Zhed is fire ele with Searing Flames, Searing Heat, Inferno, Liquid Flame, Fireball, and Fire Attunement
Those I have setup pretty well. This past run I brought General Morgahn and Xandra, however they have fairly weak builds. Morgahn has Anthem of Guidance with "To the Limit", Anthem of Envy, "Go for the Eyes", "Find their Weakness" and "Never surrender". Xandra has no elites skills, three spirit skills, and two hexes.
Any suggestions on what to do differently? On the monks, I could probably get rid of the condition removal skills for something else because this place has few conditions. Is there something I can do to help mow down the groups faster to give me more time? After killing the three harbringers in the middle, I could probably kill the two in the main hallway to help slow down any rogue groups that get by. Anything else?

Ill make it simple for you, PM me your IGN and I will help you beat the mission. Its one of the ones I find excessively easy nowadays.
Aeronwen
It sounds like you did everything right Cirdan, that one is all in the timing.
I find HM a bit stinky too, care to share your secret Alspals?

Head to the middle of "map"(there's a bridge). Flag heroes/henchies there, and after running mob, go lure the group at 1 side(where bonus boss is). Pull em down-unflag heroes...kill them. Kill another mobile mob.And do the same with group at 2nd bonus "boss". Keep heroes still on the bridge(made of carpet). Go for the lights, and do the bonuses by yourself, while heroes kill mobile mobs. go gather 3 lights and go for the boss. Easy as 1,2,3.

The tactic I use for this is to kill all harbingers up until the ...crevasse kinda thing where there are the 2 last normal harbingers before the habringer of nightfall (?). Take those 2 out as well, then wait for the group of runners, depending on which side they come, I do that side for bonus, then wait for other side or just rush to the other side and take the other dude for bonus, then carry on as normal. Simple, easy, fast.

I did the mission I think for Zaishen a few weeks ago since i never did any before, and I ran this. I pulled the mish in ~20 minutes, and that was slow. Do not ignore the first two harbingers, just drop them and kill the groups on the stairs. You can then proceed to wipe the big groups on either side, starting with the monk then the derv, then pick a side in the center and kill one of the harbingers, then pick off the center groups closest to the chasm. One trick is to watch the guys who spawn the crystals just in case you miss the spawn, as they will tell you quick you need to run back, hence dual Fall Back. the two bonus harbingers are simple enough, and if you want, you can use a candy to speed up running the crystals, though it is not necessary. You just have to occasionally flag your people to the center, and try not to let the Eles wipe your face. If anyone needs help, im not doing anything, so I will help.

FYI, the reason to skip the first two harbingers is to keep the spawn group size smaller.
I assume your monks are /e with glyph of lesser energy? Extinguish is pretty expensive for not much benefit and as you noted, not many conditions.
With 2 physicals, it might be good to add some buffs like order of pain or strength and honor or barbs or mark of pain or splinter weapon. Your last hero slots need to be filled with more damage as your problem seems to be not killing fast enough. MMs with death nova are nice too to soak up damage as well as to deal it out. Spirits do this too, but heroes can't take Summon Spirits and don't pre cast them on their own. Still, you have to wait a lot, so a channeling/communing combo would probably work on a hero here too, but you seem concerned about the bonus, so I kind of don't like worrying about recharges when you're running to catch the spawn group. Still they bring dmg and utility (and you can also put splinter weapon in for you and koss too).
You might want to take the time to clear the two groups near the final Harbinger to make killing the two bonus Harbingers easier as they can sometimes be close enough to agro when you kill the bonus group (it's hard to pull on such a high stairway). Make sure not to agro the final harbinger if you can, he moves around a lot back there.
You could also have your eles go /p and put like 8 or 9 into command for fall back. Never surrender or anthem of disruption can be nice too.
Searing Flames is not so great in HM because enemy armor is so much higher. But if you are going to run it, it makes sense to have more copies of it. If you want the earth support you can go 12 fire 9 estorage 9 earth and your wards should last long enough to take down the big damage dealers in the group.
You should not have to go back to Hinon for a light unless they kill one of your spirits.
This mission is just about killing fast and timing and pulling (if you can't handle 2 groups at a time).
Good luck.

Just wanted to mention that im not doing HM, im trying for masters on nm

I think the key is to take it slow. So just wait for a group of runners, kill them, and move on. If your going for an additional harbringer, wait for the patrol. Kill it, then go for the harbringer. When it's down, immediatly return and wait for the patrol to come. Kill it, then go for the other harbringer.

Tried it a few more times today...failed all of them. The furthest I got was right after I killed runners, I ran to do bonus harbringer. By the time we finished killing the bonus all three Spirits from the first half were killed and Hinon was killed the second we got there. I really don't see how it's even possible to complete the mission.
I have the strategy down up to killing the two Harbringers in the middle of the map. After that I can't figure out what my next move should be. On my more successful run, I waited for the next group to come, and let them kill one of the Harbringers then killed them when we were out of the aggro bubble of the other static groups. After that I would either pull the middle static group or the group next to the stairs. After killing one of these groups, I pulled back and waiting for the spawn group.
After I do this for both sides and clear out the static groups, I would wait for another spawn group to arrive. After I kill that group, I would rush the bonus group. This is where it becomes impossible. I cannot kill the group fast enough to run back and defend from the next spawn group. I have less than one minute to kill the bonus group. The time from when the spawn group arrives to my location, we kill them, and then we run to the bonus group...I'm sure over a minute has passed. By the time we finish the group, the new spawn group is already out of my range to catch up to them.
I could try messing around with Fall Back but I'm not sure that's going to help much. I tired bringing a necro with minion skills, but the monks waste energy healing the minions instead of us.

This was one of my favorite missions. I'll tell ya what I tell my friends i play with, JQ or RA to get balth up, and unlock a ton of skills for your heroes. Might take hours or days to get your team, but in the end its worth it.
I barely do anything, im an AP Ele. I fire off assassins promise, ebon vanguard sniper support, and lightbringers gaze, maybe I get off Immolate before my targets dead, but prolly not. Thats for my Discordway Necros of course. I also run with Panic Gwen, SoGM Xandra, and just because I aint unlocked any more rits yet, fire nuker Vekk and a Prot/Healer Ogden.

Thought I'd post here saying I finally got it. Basically I changed the build of my necromancer to a AotL MM with Death Nova, which, I think, dramatically improved our DPS because once we wiped a spawn group, it seemed like a long time before the next group spawned and I had enough time to run the bonus and get back several seconds before the next group spawned.
Now, on to Cantha!
