I'm not Pleikki, but the shield would be priceless, in my opinion (i.e. depends on what bid wars happen in High End--but over 1000e could happen); of course, it's bloody ugly, so collectors may not want to drop so much on it, despite its rarity.
Was it a mausoleum drop?

agreed. i personally would not let it go without a full trade window of ectos. well... i'de start out saying that and just leave it on a thread for at Least a few weeks. then sell, because after all u aren't gunna get what its really worth being that its priceless. i glanced over this thread earlier and didn't notice that it was inherent. very sweet drop!

I believe it dropped in the jade sea area until NF. Despite this I agree that it is a priceless item since they were rare even when they did drop in factions.

Funniest part of this thread is the title...
Considering the rarity 1750e range - what you might realistically get for it, hard to say - depends on how long you want to wait, and who you get bidding.....
.....but then you also have the fact that the shield is not very popular, and it is r9.... I think the req will take away from the value as well. Understand that it is rarer than many r7 and r8 shields - but I have seen some I know there is only one or two around that have not gone over 1000e. If this was at least R8 it would change things a good bit. Personally don't see why anyone would pay over 1000e.... the only real selling value it has is as a collectible.

yours is non-insc, compared to being insc.
oldschool (non-insc) items are worth much more because they are actually rare.

Inscribable ones drop off zchest and can always be modified so they get good. Uninscribable ones though can only drop in the Jade Sea area in Cantha and no drops are confirmed for the past 5 or so years (since NF launch) along with the fact that two perfect mods on a shield is rare by itself and rec is nice, though not r8 or r7.
IMO though, 1750 is a bit of a stretch unless specific conditions are met.
Either A: Owner and buyer are both collectors and owner is unwilling to sell at presumed value. Aka buyer has to bid way more to have a chance
Or B: Bid war between two collectors or more where both are capable and willing to drop 1500e+ on this shield.
Otherwise I don't think you'd be able to convince a buyer that this shield is indeed worth 1750e
