Debating GWAMM

Trying to decide if I would be able to do this at my accounts current state.
I have no money after getting to 30/50, but I do have 6th year zhed tonic.

I finished 30/50 last month and I'm not even going to think about 50/50 because the amount of money it would cost would be far beyond my reach. I made most of my money by vanqs and Zaishen quests to get to 30.

So here is my current standing:
No titles maxed, but many are close (spearmarshal, lightbringer, deld, etc). And the grind for those I wouldn't mind at all.

Cart/Skill/Prot/Guardian would take alot of time, as most of them are 1/3 to 1/2 complete, but I'm fairly certain I could finish it , the ones that I am worried about are the activity based titles.

I know I would have to pick at least one if I was going to do LDoA/Survivor and two if I was going to not do Kurz/Lux. (which I REALLY don't want to do)

So I guess the real question is if I was to grind out all the other titles would I be left with sufficient funds to get me two of the activity titles? (Drunkard, sweet tooth)

Farm festivals when they come around. Wintersday in particular should give you enough party points to easily max the title if you dedicate yourself to farming the snowball quest.

Other than that: slow and steady will do it. A few million gold isn't that hard to save up if you don't just save your pennies. Knowing a few good farms helps, but isn't strictly necessary. In the end, grinding gold for drunk/party/sweet points is easier than grinding Kurz/Lux, IMO.

I think you should be able to get your GWAMM with very little problem. As was already stated, wait for Wintersday and do Snowball Dominance. In just a relatively short time I got the last 3,000 fruitcakes I needed to get my sweet tooth. Set a goal of 1K points of sweets per event and then farm the heck out of SD and you will have sweet tooth with no money expended. It should actually gain you cash from the event farming.

Dragon Festival, Wintersday in July, Halloween, and Special Treats Weekend are all coming up. If you can't get 2k plus sweet points from Halloween you aren't doing it right

Drunk is exceptionally easy. Farm nick items. when you don't get a keg, sell the other junk and buy one. Or, just sell the nick gifts each week and use the money to buy kegs. SD, mentioned earlier, will also net you more alcohol than you know what to do with, along with tons of party points.

If you choose to do Survivor, farming FoW is a good way. Took me a few hours a day for three days and I had Survivor in no time.

As said above, the Wintersday festival is an amazing event to farm for sweet, but also party (snowball dominance). However, it's not clear in the above posts and should be mentioned, Snowball dominance is not available in Wintersday in July. Only in December.

Getting GWAMM is much easier now than it was before so you should be ok. Good luck!

Don't forget Nick in Pre-Searing. You can get up to 5 GoTHs a day for 25 common trophy items. They only contain Party, Drunkard and Sweet points, but it's still worth farming.

GWAMM is time and money.

It all comes down to how much effort you put in my friend. I did GWAMM on my Rit in 4 months total.

I got there over three years. Just by pugging zquests mostly. More fun then farming.

Best way to max titles - weekend events. This weekend is double kurzick / luxon points ( while not the best titles to max you can make a decent amount of gold vanquishing or doing speed clears )

EoTN titles are real easy - if you complete it in NM and HM you will have master of the north and be about 75% to each race title.

Zaishen quests are a great way to work on titles without becoming bored; each day you can work on guardian / protector / skill capping and vanquisher title and make money in the process.

Im kind of in the same boat, im trying to get gwamm, im at 29 titles at the moment and its come to either getting the sweet title or kurz. I spent a lot of time farming for the money for drunk/booze so i dont really want to do that again. With this weekend coming up its a good time to get kurz/lux points, but if you're not going to do sweets til last you could use the money you're gonna make finishing your other titles towards that.

Complete protector, then guardian, do cartographer while doing VQ (combine with ZQ for extra money and just do one VQ a day). Grind out the other titles, do survivor (it can be done amidst all the VQ/guardian stuff, or just do boxing) in any playtime when you aren't VQing.

Use nicks weekly gifts as an easy way to drunkard by selling them and buying kegs, or open them and get kegs. This is a seriously good way to make some quick cash if you have access to a few accounts too. Just buy the items and sell the gifts, you essentially double or triple your money. By doing this along with the ZVQ, I'd imagine you should have enough cash to max the two item titles at about the same time you finish the VQ title.

I only became a serious title hunter after my return to the game which was in January. I don't have a chance for GWAMM because it would mean spending the gold for sweets, alcohol & party points but I still have a chance for 50/50 HoM. That's what I'm going for.

7 heroes makes gwamm a yawnfest. Do it though, it'll make your friends think you're awesome, however, Gwen, Razah, Norgu, and the rest will know the role they played;P

I've been debating this myself. For me I would need to max titles such as lucky/unlucky not to mention treasure/wisdom and those are very expensive.

Not to mention that the cartographer, with out using a text mod, would be a great deal of wall scraping as my two remaining areas (cantha/elona) are both over the 90% range and I have little clue as to what I am missing. It doesn't help that I am playing on my NetBook with only a 10" screen.

Still, I am at 20/30 currently so it might be worth the effort as it would also push me from 45/50 to 50/50 for HoM.

Ive just been thinking about this too.

All I still need to get Gwamm is Survivor, 4 EOTN reputation titles, Master of the North, and all three of the consumable titles.

The consumable titles are what will cost the most money, but it would be nice to get Gwamm before GW2 because it carries over.

Yeah I played back in proph when it first came out, then quit after i finished the first campaign. Just came back a few months ago and had to do all the expansions and WiK.

The thing I wasn't thinking about was that I would have to do another title in place of LDoA because I don't have that on my main.

And to get GWAMM it has to be 30 maxed titles on just one char,
not account wide right?

Yeah, all one one character.

"Legendary Survivor" is now available to all characters, even those who have died. Just go farm zero-to-1,337,500 xp with zero deaths and you have a maxxed title. This change was key in making GWAMM extremely easy, since now you don't have to do one of the Lucky/Unlucky, Treasure/Wisdom, or Luxon/Kurzick titles, which were usually EXTREMELY long grinds.

You absolutely don't have to do those titles, as long as you own all three chapters and EotN.

I strongly recommend Texmod for cartography. It makes it ridiculously fast. Just stop using it when you're done, no problem.

Put another way:
All the VQ/Skill/Cart/Prot/Guard stuff from CH 1, 2, and 3 = 19 titles (there's no legendary protector)
The rep from Nightfall (lb/ss) = 2 titles, so now we're at 21.
The combined EotN VQ/Cart/Mission/Dungeon track is only 1 title, but there's 4 reps, so that's 5 total. Now we're at 26.
Three consumable titles (drunk, sweet, party) bring it to 29.
Survivor makes it 30.

Most of the grind is easy grind. Go get some GWAMM, baby. <3

(edit, btw, for survivor, it takes only 32 Vaettir runs in a row to go from 0 to max if you use Lightbringer Scrolls each time. LB scrolls make them 750 xp per kill. 60 mobs * 750xp * 32 runs = 1.4 million. I died at noon and was r3 survivor by midnight.)

^ how I did mine in 6 months from scratch. It really is laughably easy. The only time you should feel any money burn is from skill hunter from buying cap sigs and the consumable titles. However, I was cunning and simply used all the elite tomes I got from VQing/popping chests while VQing to use towards skill hunter. I recommend going for the awkward Tyrian caps if you're going to do that. Farm the hell out of holidays for your consumable titles as it really will make all the difference. Try to buy event items during the events as well. They'll only inflate afterwards.

I decided to work on GWAMM before my HoM and ended up hitting my goal of 30/50 well before GWAMM that way. Now I have like, weapons, minis and a set of obby armour to go. I'm in no rush at all for the minis.

I'm curious how you have no max titles if you've been working on Vanquisher though o_o I did my VQing before 7 heroes and ZVs, so you'll have a much easier time of that now those are out. Might be worth filling up some of the books while you work on protector/guardian as well. You get a nice return on those in terms of gold/rep points. I hit r6 Kurzick that way :P

Sweet! Thanks for the insight, that does seem alot more doable then I originally was thinking. I'll just farm the holidays for consumables, and see if I can't make it before GW2. Thats the only thing that was holding me back, was the worry that I wouldn't have enough cashola for the activity titles.

I was once in this same boat before i got Gwamm...i worked on luxon/kurzick without ever even wanting to get Gwamm..maxed them and just casually did missions NM/HM and a lot of other stuff to get the money for skill hunter..it's a long process, but a lot of people have the luxory of doing it over a few years, since gw2 comes out something within a year it's a bit of a rush job..but def doable with the right people and guild..

i currently have 31 titles without tyrian vanquisher/legendary vanquisher...so it's doable for sure. i didnt work on it all too long month wise,,, just a lot of hourly playing, set yourself goals.

Almost 6 six here, and still no GWAMM :P I do, however, have 20 titles on two characters and 27 on another one :P

You also definitely don't need GWAMM for 50/50
