Flash drive
Neith
I was curious as to whether a flash drive can be used to load guildwars on a computer. I have a friend who's harddrive is only 4gigs and so wass thinking that maybe if the client was on a flash drive he'd still be able to play the other game he has on his computer. so it doesn't slow it down.

yes you can use a flash drive
i almost always play it off a flash drive or an external hard drive

4G harddrive? Does his computer have the required specs to play the game other than the harddrive?

i can find out. I know there's one game that he has on his computer but I can't remember the name so I don't know how old it is. Oh just remembered, New Vegas is the game that he wants to keep on his computer I believe.

If he is running New Vegas, he should be able to run GW. He may not be able to run it at max settings, but we cannot say for sure without knowing his system specs.

Doesn't take much to run GW, and it'll run if you have the GW application+.dat file on the drive.

first off higherminion. because as you can read the last 2 words, it says I believe. I'm not 100% sure, second off i didn't feel like backspacing. 3rdly, you didn't have to read my post to begin with :P. 4thly it's not that long of a post, i'm sure a 6th grader can read it pretty fast. I have asked my friend on facebook, i'm waiting for a response.

I'm a little confused. If the game your friend has is Fallout: New Vegas... that game requires 10Gb of hard drive space to be installed. It's not possible that your friend only has a 4Gb hard drive. Unless you meant he only has that much free space?
Bristlebane
I would suspect it's 4gb free, as not even SSDs today comes in that small size.
I can only imagine custom built embedded systems that loads windows into RAM from Compact Flash cards or similar that would have that low total space.
