Hello everyone! I'm new to DoA and I wanted to start playing an HB monk...does anyone have a guide how to use the build or have any advice for me?

This is the build I'm using...

Dwayna's Kiss
Ethereal Light
Cure Hex
Seed of Life
Lightbringer Signet
Heal Party
Healer's Boon
Arcane Mimicry

sorry for being a noob

1. You're missing Protective Spirit. I'd get rid of Ethereal Light.
2. Avoid taking aggro.
3. Heal losing red.
4. ???
5 Profit.

Ignore this person.

I'm guessing you're looking for advice for DwG teams and Frostway.

There is an ST rit and Imbagon to tone down the damage.

Your build is straight from wiki, that's completely fine. For Normal Mode.

For Normal Mode, you and the UA are both responsible for keeping the Paragon clean of anti-shout hexes. Memorise which mobs carry these (Margonite Necromancers and Torments in Gloom especially).
In Hard Mode, that job becomes primarily the UA's and you should be watching where the damage is going. Cure Hex can still be on your bar for HM, but I personally swap it out for Infuse for some pro saves. I'm just that strong.

The UA you maintain is primarily for the healing bonus. It is also the last ditch Res (apart from We Shall Return) to res the UA if he dies. Under no circumstance should you res somebody else when the UA is alive.

Keep UA covered with Healers Boon. When it gets stripped constantly in Foundry, you can get away with it in Normal mode by precasting patient on yourself. But it's useless in HM. Just try to constantly maintain HB and it should be fine. Don't bother to recast Mimicry.

Other than that, just don't over heal. Make sure you use your heals to the maximum potential, you will need practise for City HM.

Good luck

To attempt to explain the last two posts: DwG/Frostway use builds that would be downright terrible in any other context. (And, in fact, one could make the argument that DwG is pretty terrible as a team build - just popular nonetheless.)

@Fate Crusher
agree with everything but the infuse thing.
If a member of the team is dieing he'll probably have tons of hexes on him, so Dwaynas kiss will likely heal him to full bar (my best healing was 759+45 df with a single d kiss)
I rather prefer cure hex, the most hex removers you have, the better.

@Ezzie: ethereal is not a must for you, what you should check is if UA is carrying patient spirit or ethereal, and you take what he has not.

Cure Hex is incredibly useless on that bar.Spotless Mind is usually taken instead.

^Regardless of whether your Panic (Mostly HM) takes Convert Hexes or not.

Spotless is usually on the UA bar, and I dont see the point of having 2 copies of it.. they would cancel each other (if the monks dont settle things at the start 1 using it only on imba and the other on others.)

Should have pointed out I couldn't remember who took it :P Doesn't do any harm though.
