Re-design Chaos Gloves and Obby Armor. (They look boring for most of the professions)

A lot of us has been saying how boring boring Obby Armor and Chaos Gloves look, yet we buy it cause apparently expensive = prestigious followed by looks, then again it's not really about looks. A lot of us do mention how boring and plain they look for being as expensive as they are.

Anet, how about redesigning them or giving us an option to choose the regular look of the chaos gloves and obby armor or something of a different look. Atleast have the chaos gloves similar to the Mesmer's that way we don't feel we wasted gold and ectos on the armor glove pieces just to have it stored in HOM? We'd like to show off both at the same time and not by switching the pieces on and off.

Anyway, yes I suggest redesigning the appearance of them.

I bought them all already. I collect elite armors. That's why I have the right to say OBBY Armor looks too boring to be expensive as it is.

No one is putting a gun to your head making you wear it. If you don't like it, wear something else. If you only bought it for HoM, get over it.

Obsidian definitely isn't my favorite set for most professions, but I have it for the professions I like it on and I would be pissed if they changed it. That's right. I said I bought it because I liked it. Not because it's expensive and all the cool kids will point and laugh if I don't show up in the most expensive armor.

As for the chaos gloves, wtf? Wasted gold and ecto because they don't look like the mesmer gloves? Why the hell did you buy them? Oh right... buying expensive crap that you hate just to impress other people is what this game is obviously about for some people.

Stop caring so much about the opinion of snobby teenagers and wear armors that you like. Some people do actually like the armors that you consider boring or ugly.

I think that redesigning armor this late in a game's life (especially when there's a sequel coming out soon) is wasted time spent on a game that's going to be set on the back burner.

Redesigning any armor in any game, for that matter, seems wasted. New or not. Why not just...release new armor?

have you ever thought that since everybody and their grandma has obby that maybe its not as "prestigious" as you originally thought?
People no longer see obby armor and say "wow, that person must be pro", they now say "wow, what kind of noob wastes money on that crap?" because we've all moved on to buying other expensive things that actually look good.

i actually like the look of my female ele's obby armor. I deffinatly would be sad if they changed the nice and sleek look for something different.

And on chaos gloves i semi agree with you. i would only change the end part of the gloves(noticed this on female ele idk about other professions) where the end juts out way too much. But really i dont want them wasting time on doing this, its just not a good use of resources.

Releasing new sets makes much more sense than redesigning old ones, apart from fixing graphic display glitches. Someone else somewhere will like their current Obsidian that you don't, and ANet can make both of you happy by adding new armor rather than substitution.

I would be really pissed if they changed my ritualists obby armor because I love the way it looks right now.

I would love new expensive armor instead of a redesign of the old obsidian.

Replacing armors will never be a good idea. Making new ones might not be so bad, but there's no justification in replacing an entire armor set because a few people believe it looks dull or have seen it one too many times.

i never got it because i didnt like the look of some armor pieces. if it was cheaper i could make the whole set and salvage the pieces i didnt want. but because its so expensive is why i dont do it. as others said if you dont like it dont get it no one forces others to buy it. xD so forever ill be stuck at 49/50 hom lols.

I own a full obsidian set for my necro, but I only wear the gloves. I salvaged my Chaos Gloves last year because they looked so awful. I got 146 dust (D
