I have been able to play Guild Wars for 4-5 years now just fine and most recently played for a couple minutes about 2 weeks ago. Now when I try to start up the game, and window pops up saying:
"Unable to initialize 3D output. Please verify that you have installed DirectX 8 and an updated video driver."
Couldn't find anything in the updates on the GW site and was wondering what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.
Initialize 3D?

Perhaps your drivers have gone corrupt. Try reinstalling Direct X and your video drivers.

Might also be possible the card broke , try some other games and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work it's most likely the card that has gone bad. Guild Wars are really good at finding those problems where other games just run badly with it.

Tried playing any games other than GW?
