Just Came Back & Realised... I'm 'Quite' Rich. Now What?

I stopped playing Guild Wars a couple months after EotN came out. Wanting to get back into it and sort out my HoM etc for GW2, I've downloaded the game and logged in.

My first thought was "wow, I did all this?". My HoM is pretty much full, I've got 100 platinum on 8 different characters, 1,000p in the bank and around 800 ectos. I also have about 30+ minis just lying in the bank, absolutely LOADS of crafting materials & a load of low req weapons in the bank plus other stuff that may or may not be worth anything. Obviously this isn't a brag post or anything as I know there are people WAY richer than me, but I'm just a bit shocked to see that I have so much and I don't know what to do with it all.

I don't even remember doing it all haha. Coming back now, I'm absolutely CLUELESS as to how the game plays etc. I don't remember much at all.

Now the thing is, I'm not exactly sure what to do with everything. I was thinking of having a big sale and selling everything I don't need, as this will probably give me something to do for the time being, but I just don't know where to start at all. Also, considering I've got 2-3 Birthday minis on all 8 of my characters
aswell, what do you guys recommend there? Should I sell them or should I put them into my HoM?

If you guys could give me any tips/pointers, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Check your HoM calculator. Find out what you're missing and buy them. Most likely it will be things like hero armors and oppressor weapons.

After that, there isn't a whole lot left to worry about. You can either continue playing because you enjoy it, or just wait for GW2.

Ah OK, so basically the money's almost worthless now and I should just spend it on upgrading my HoM? Do you advise I sell my minipets or put them in the HoM aswell?

With the amount of money you have, you can easily fill your HoM to 50/50. You might as well use the minis you have since you're only going to be buying new ones if you sell the ones you have. Your money isn't "worthless" but right now I don't find I have much I actually want to spend my money on so it just sorta accumulates, there's still plenty you could afford if you were so inclined, that's still a lot of money even in today's market.

If you don't remember doing anything like that though, I highly suggest you change your password to your account.

I highly suggest you just use everything to complete your HoM, there's probably going to be quite a few people asking for some money, but you should use all you have for your advantage and preparing for GW2.

OK sounds good. Do you by any chance know of any guide to filling your HoM? As I've been away from the game for so long now, I'm still trying to get the hang of things and it'd be great if there was some sort of guide to help me along.

I think right now my HoM is 28/50.


Nah thinking back now I do remember going through a hell of a lot of FoW/UW speed clears etc, plus I think I was running some sort of mission helping system where people were paying me, if I remember correctly. I don't think anybody has been on my account, but I was just shocked to see it all, as I must never have really taken that much notice before.

depends on what you want to accomplish in the game....if filling your HoM is what you want then spend the money there, if having uber elite weapons is you boat--then get some of those, you like minis? then get some of the more limited ed. ones.
If you have accomplished everything you wish--they either sit back and have fun, or help others out or donate it.

The only other thing your money is "useful" for is getting GWAMM, which does transfer to GW2. Other than that, give it away, or buy some shinies for yourself.

Spend money on what your want, if you're gonna move on to GW2 fill HoM, if you just want to get the rest out of GW playing time, do whatever you want with it.

If I were you,

Fill HoM to 50/50.
Get GWAMM if you are interested.
Tune up your heroes with weapons you like.
Start collecting something, if you find that interesting enough.

What was the reason you came back to the game before you found out how rich you were?

So you are rich, and dont want to play the game but you want to sell stuff to get richer? So what do you intent to do with all those ectos after the sale..

powertrade with ur cash so that get 1600e instead of 800e in like a week(with luck)
