Mercenary Heroes use their customised weapons

I just had an idea, we all know mercenary heroes can be bought to act as if your other characters are there with you. Unfortunately you have to give them weapons. Then i got thinking, I have a few customized weapons on my characters where I have got them new ones, making some nice skins and weapons redundant to my other characters. What if, these customised weapons could be used on the mercenary heroes with the same name?
It would then enable the equipping of mercenary heroes easier, aswell as make them feel more like the actual character theyre supposed to be.

However I do think it might not be easy to work out as mercenary heroes probably work like the way you recreate a character with the same name doesnt allow you to have that weapon. Things are customised to your characters ID i believe.
What do you think, could this provide a little more functionality and make mercenary heroes a bit more worth the money?

I agree on that. They should include the weapon at least, I would say. Make it worth the money, instead spending more money in-game we will have ready2go mercenaries when creating new characters. Nevertheless, I think they won't be changing it due to GW2..

If the weapon your merc is holding when its made is copied and only usable by that merc, I could see that working.

Make heroes like PvP characters, creating customized armors/weapons.

This would simply be OP since then you have the option to change builds any time, without having to pay the cost of runes, insiginas, weps etc.
