As most people know, some titles have priveledges and others are just prestige.
Lucky, Unlucky, Treasure Hunter, and Wisdom all have stackable bonuses towards lockpicks and salvage.
Allegiance, Sunspear, Lightbringer, and EotN racial titles all power up skills and environmental bonuses.
What about the titles that don't do anything?
Some ideas to throw out there: (campaign wide bonuses should not affect UW, FoW, or the DoA.
Cartography and LMofN: if you have cartographer in that campaign, you get a 5% movement bonus while traveling in that land. LMofN gives 10% in the North and Legendary Cartographer gives you 10% in all three continents.
Protector and Guardian: 5% dmg increase for protector and 5% dmg decrease for guardian. Legendary Guardian gives you 7.5%-10%??? of both.
Vanquisher: 10% increase of VQ rewards in that campaign, Leg. VQ gives 20% increase. Does not affect allegiance rewards (sorry SCs)
Zaishen: 3% increase in rewards for Zaishen Challenges per rank.

Cart - I would like faster movement only between fights so IMS when not within spirit range of foes.
Pro/Gua - don't like the powercreep, game is fine in difficulty
Vanquisher - sure, rewards are pretty small now, would decrease the grind for reputation titles.
Zaishen - already has a emote reward system

Those titles don't need rewards.
For most part pve is already pretty easy, and vanquishing rewards are decent as is.
And zaishen already have a reward in the /zrank emote.

Unlucky doesn't give you any bonuses/penalties. If that were the case, you would get a negative chance to retain lockpicks each time you broke one. Which would be basically punishment for the game breaking your lockpicks. Something you have no control over. And then it would just get worse and worse and you would end up always getting the "crap end of the stick" everytime.
But I think the titles are fine how they are. So /notsigned.

Since you have technically "beaten the game" it's a small power creep to encourage you to keep going at this point.
Vanquisher: As I said, I specifically don't want reputation titles affected. SCs are already a great way to max out faction titles, no need to make it even easier.
Zaishen: I had forgotten about that. I withdraw my suggestion on that one.
The idea was to keep the rewards small so that wouldn't be a problem, but I do see your point.

edit: I'd like to throw in that I do see what you're trying to do and I'd love some sort of bonus for these titles but players would take advantage of it and make grouping extremely difficult. If this weren't the case then this idea would be much more appealing.

There is no bonus provided by the unlucky title track. Feel free to check wiki.

Only lucky effects your lockpick retention.
As for the other ones I would not agree as not only would it make grouping harder it would also be more power creep. As it is you can waltz through Proph in HM, damage reduction would make it even more of a joke.

Why do people not like the idea because they say that it'd be harder to get into a group.
The game has mostly become a solo game anyways, also in the OP it was stated that account wide titles wouldn't apply to FoW, UW, DoA, maybe none of them should, so this it might not be a deterrent for getting a group in those areas.
Of course I'd agree that it's already easy with heroes, but adding these effects (or others instead) isn't going to change much; so you run a little bit faster, so what, maybe you do a little bit more damage, when was that a bad thing?
Also if you really wanted to group with people, I'm quite sure you'd prefer to do so with friends/guildies instead of PUGs, so they shouldn't mind if you are high/low on any of these titles and might encourage you (or help you) to achieve higher ranks.

Is it going to see my ragtag team of suicidal mercs doing say 16 mins vq of mq as a team or as a sc team having a bad day ?
Not all players who have completed campaigns have at same time done cart or lv title so if mr x has just managed to complete say prophs and is looking to vq - he see`s teams pugging except they only allow in leg cart players so team moves at same speed - and mr x gets left out because he hasnt the title.
There has to be a small majority of us who doesnt really use titles or think of titles in the game benefit way.I have max lb/ss and i dont really recall any time i used the skills , the 4 eotn titles .. i always forget to have correct one up so im playing with no benefit.
It starts to smell of elitism after a while and looks like we head bk into the dark ages where ursan was the rage and you HAD to be r8 or above to get into any decent team.

Another "how to make GW worse" thread. Like there aren't enough "brilliant" ideas, especially concerning titles, on sardelac.

The idea behind all these is that the bonuses would be slight, though I admit the protector and guardian ideas might create some PUG snobbery.
However it seems that few people are PUGing for everyday stuff anyhow since 7 heroes. If you PUG for ZQs, is the fact that one player is 5% slower or takes 5% more damage really going to determine whether or not you let him onto your team?
I just find myself going into year 6 of GW, with nothing to do but max out titles. It gets stale and the only reason I continue is because ANet keeps making it easier.
As the game stands today, You can be a Legendary Vanquisher, but all you get for it is 4 extra honor statues.
If Anet is intent on making the game easier, why not link it to accomplishments?
Because obviously once you have 15-20 titles maxed, there isn't much left that can challenge you. At this point you can repeat elite areas until you scratch out your eyeballs at the thought of doing the Foundry...again!!
I just think a little incentive for mapscraping and VQ'ing the entire world is not a bad thing.
These ideas are not set in stone, I'd like to hear other peoples' ideas on the subject.

^this. this would ruin grouping in Embark Beach or anywhere really. I honestly wish they would just do away with the bonuses for titles besides the wisdom/lucky etc that don't affect other players.
