Hello,
Im just getting finished wrapping up EOTN campaign & have been doing some reading on dungeons. From what I understand the only requirement to many of them is being Ascended, Weh no Su or must have completed the quest Hunted. I am ascended.
I guess my question is, where do I begin? From what I have been reading Fissure of Woe is a good place to start because it is easier than many of the other dungeons. (I plan on doing it by myself with Heroes) Or pehaps you have some other suggestions. I am looking for a dungeon that will be profitable & not stressful.
Thanks for your time!
Dungeons - Where do I begin?

Fissure of Woe isn't a dungeon. It's an elite, core area with no rez shrines. Dungeons are exclusive to the EOTN add-on and usually only require a certain quest to be entered.

all dungeons are diccult except for snowmans lair :P
all i can say dont go for shards of orr or slavers exile if you dont want to get frustrated.
read the wiki what monsters you will face and make builds to counter them.
for example ooze pit has lots of strong earth eles with shockwave. pain inverter kill them.
arachnis haunt lots of rangers bring defense againts arrows etc etc...

Okay, let's try to make your entry as easy as possible.
First, dungeons are generally at least a bit more difficult than the missions and areas of the EotN storyline. So, just psychologically prepare yourself for a minor shock. It'll pass soon, just don't get disheartened.
Second, all dungeons have an associated quest that you need to take in order to complete the dungeon. It's like fogetting your keys or your wallet. Many dungeons have the quest giver right outside the dungeon entrance, but some others are somewhere far away.
Third: dungeons take time. Usually, a dungeon will involve getting through 2-3 maps of foes and a boss fight. So, you need to have enough time. Also, you may want to bring along a Powerstone of courage or two, just in case you wipe too many times.
Fourth, not all dungeons are equal. Some are much more difficult than others:
Hard dungeons: Slavers exile (ELITE), Frostmaw's burrows (you'll learn to hate popup groups of wurms that use Wurm bile), Shards of Orr (learn to hate the undead, plus a trick final boss), Catacombs of Kathandrax (lots and lots of fire elementalists)
Medium: the others
(Too) Easy: Secret lair of the snowmen, Fronis Irontoe's lair (not "real" dungeons)
To start, I'd recommend... hmm...
-Arachni's lair (Spider rangers)
-Bloodstone caves (Ettin melees, summoned weapons)
-Oola's lab (similar to the mission)
-Bogroot growths (Mixed hylek, you should be familiar with them already. Beware the bosses (one is a heavy AoE nuker)
-Cathedral of flames (Charr and Undead)
-Darkrime Delves (Jotuns)
These I'd recommend for a start.

Thanks everyone. I apologize for the confusion. Yeah I was under the impression that Underworld etc were also dungeons. I'll do some more research on the easier ones you recommended Iuris. Those sound a little more appropriate for my skill level atm. I'll try to build my team with counters to the enemies inside the Dungeon Anime, thanks for the advice.

I asked a similar question back in December and got some very informative responses you may find useful.
My favorite dungeon (now) is Raven's Point. I can do that damn near blindfolded. I found Frostmaw's Burrow pretty easy, though very long. Hidden Lair of the Snowman is fun - especially if you can deal heavy AoE damage. I also found Bogroot's Growth pretty easy.
Of the more "elite" areas, I've found Tomb of the Primeval Kings to be eminently do-able with just heroes, even in HM (though I had to work up to that). Fissure of Woe (also with just heroes) is also much easier than I would have expected... but it seems to take me forever and I end up getting bored and leaving most of the time. LOL
My only experience with the UW was to run through it killing everything with a few friends - we didn't actually do the quest line. Sorrow's Furnace was much easier than I'd expected, but it's another one I get bored with fast. I don't really care for the "environment" down there. I have pretty much zero experience with Domain of Anguish - my first attempt there was a dismal failure and I haven't been back. I have no experience with the other two "elite" areas.
Going back to the EotN dungeons - other than Fronis Irontoe's Lair (which I can't seem to get the hang of because I SUCK at dealing with replacement skillbars), I can't say that I found any of them to be uber unreasonable. Once I began dipping my toe in with Raven's Point & Oola's Lab & Frostmaw's Burrow... everything else became a lot less intimidating.
Just take your time... have patience with yourself... read through the Wiki beforehand... and you'll do fine. I promise, they're not nearly as scary as they seemed when I first wrote that inquiry post!

Remember to keep an eye on the calendar for zaishen bounties. A lot of the end-bosses in the dungeons have their own bounties, so it's worth picking them up for extra reputation points and gold, considering you're going to be killing the boss anyway.

to give you a bit more info i consider these somewhat difficult area.
4 Ooze Pit pain inverter en ebon sin vanguard focus on 1 earth ele you might wipe a few times but kill fast or they will replicate more earth eles wich will result in more wipes.
6 Frostmaw's Burrows
not too hard just bring lots of anti hex i usually dedicate one mesmer with mesmer hex removal skills such as shatter hex inspired hex hex eater combined with monk hex removal.
12 Shards of Orr
in NM just bring some holy damage and if you are melee some anti blind
HM however you will learn to hate and respect the monsters there.
i did it with a warrior in HM and that was hell but i got it done by being carefull pull and kill fast.
15 Slavers' Exile (elite)
the areas you have to do arent that hard some got big mobs i suggest to bring frozen soil because if you cant kill fast they will keep ressing.
Duncan the black there once was a special tactic to beat him but its very slow.
wich involved the sin skill swap and necro skill signet of sorrow and frozen soil.
search for the threads dunca the black on this forum and you might find it.

My New Name
Vloxen in HM is hard as hell, there are some massive summit grps with 2 or even 3 healers, bringing some rupts is essential
Iuris
Hard mode does indeed make some dungeons quite surprisingly more difficult. Vloxen excavations, Ooze pit, Rragar's menagerie are prime troublemakers. Ooze pit, especially. An easy dungeon in normal mode, it becomes a killer in Hard mode.
