Which EotN VQ to avoid

Hi all,

I've done all dungeons in HM (likewise primary quests) and fully mapped the North so I'll be able to skip VQing 1 zone. Any suggestions as to which one is the worst to do.
I have already VQ'ed all Ausra territory.

Thanks in advance

Sacnoth Valley. It's full of tough mobs, it's huge, and it's an isolated zone.

Very doable, mind you, but if you've got a free skip I'd say it or Arbor Bay (just for the time investment). It's also rep dependent to some degree, so take the suggestion with a couple grains of salt.

I 2nd sacnonth just because you have to run thru another zone just to get to it--(I skipped it and sparkfly--where the trex warrior boss is--just because my team always gets smashed by him).

^Same, I still have yet to VQ sparkfly because the freaking angorodons always wipe me, no matter what team I have...I don't know how many times I've attempted to VQ that area. But since you already did it, kudos. I'll vote for Sacnoth also, screw those damn Charr Seeker groups

Just keep going with the vanquishes until you find one that you cannot do or you've done enough to complete the title.
Then do the last one anyway because you don't want that single red helmet on your map screen.

Sacnoth only has one difficult section, Varajer however has a stupid number of enemies.

Sacnoth would be my suggestion as well, I know it is my remaining and I dread it, even with a full hero party. Just annoying, especially the Elemental section which is just UGLY

Sacnoth does get you vanguard points though, and those are hard to come by

Not with repeatable Keiran missions around, they aren't.

Anyway, I'd avoid the largest and longest. Sacnoth valley, Varajar fells, Riven earth. In that order. For the four title points, I'd sooner recommend books.

I must have been lucky to have found a group to do Sacnoth with way back. Sparkfly wasn't that difficult for me either.

If you didn't do Riven Earth when they had the ZV you might have trouble (Joffs says hi!), but 500lb gorilla on my list is Drakkar Lake.
The roving patrols around Myish and Nulfastu's hollow all are complete bastards to beat.

I honestly had no trouble with sacnoth, just have to be careful in forest.

I'd say One of the norn ones.

No mean to troll here, but I did all the EotN VQ's this weekend, except for Magus Stones and Alcazia Tangle, because I already had those, and didn't do Verdant Cascades cause I didn't need it anymore..

I wiped like 3 times in Sacnoth due to overaggro'ing in the burning forest area, but I brought enough Elixir's, so it didn't really bother me, once you're done there, the rest is a total cakewalk, even the charr bosses.. I was only there for the forest, the rest I just rna into a mob, minimized and watched How I met your mother. After like 30 secs I would reopen GW and run to the next mob, letting me heroes do the work, and the minions the overaggro to keep the fights going.. Other times I would actively participate in my VQ would be when I had a rampage + boss bounty, cause I needed the reps...

I'd say do Sacnoth, unless you already maxed your Vanguard... I'd much rather skip some asuran areas tbh.. I also don't see the problem in Sparkfly, the warrior boss isn't that hard imo..

Just to give you an idea: I always pop a summon stone + an elixir at the start and I run a slight variant of the 7 Hero Player Support bar that is on pvx.

Drakkar was my least fave, it seemed to take forever. I skipped that.

I am of a different opinion about Sacnoth. Yeah its huge and out of the way, but you can grab a couple of friends and, starting from Doomlore, with a small diversion take 3 devourers into it for the vanq making it waaaay fun and very easy.

Drakkar was the most annoying one imho.
Sacnoth isnt bad at all if you take your time for it and go prepared (Technobabble, earth wards).
Sparkfly just go for the Trex first spike him and when hes dead you remove some DP and the rest is a breeze, might take a few wipes but youl get him down with not too much trouble.

N° 1: Sacnot(hard and huge).
N° 2:Arbor(huge? this on is like Varajar+Sacnot. The only VQ i know the min. amount of foes is 600ish).
N° 3:Varajar(large but not really hard, just boring).

I skipped N° 1 AND 2. You can skip 2 VQ if you carto very well (or use portal jumping and such).

False. Arbor Bay is only around 450-500.
And seriously, Sacnoth only has Blisterbark and friends as a noteworthy threat.

This pretty much. I just microed my Panic so that it hit his group dead center and did the same with arcane conundrum on my Ineptitude. His group died in a few seconds. lol

The Tyrannus boss in Sparkfly is really only difficult if you have poor luck and aggro a roving mob of raptors at the same time.

Sacnoth is a pain.

My vote is Arbor Bay , I have done vanquished EoTN 3 times and that one always takes me the longest because I always seem to miss a patrol around the temple in the upper left corner.

Honestly with 7 hero teams now all zones are easily vanquished and you ll make a couple plat in the process

I'd say Sacnoth Valley - due to the isolation of it and that annoying burning forest.

OR - Arbor Bay - Lots and lots and lots of mobs (512 was the count when I did it) Very easy to over-aggro there.

Sparkfly isn't too tough, the Tyrannus Boss isn't to terrible if you take out the surrounding patrols first.

Agree with this. The only tricky parts of Sacnoth are the burning forest and perhaps the rit Grawl boss nearby. And getting to it isn't difficult, it's surprisingly easy to avoid most enemies while crossing Dalada to get there.

My last one is Varajar, but I'm sure I'll get it done at some stage, for completist's sake.

o.o why all the sacnoth hate! ive vanquished that are 30+ times to max vanguard over 4 chars. Its a really easy vanquish that takes about 40 mins once you get the route set out and the right team builds, i would skip drakkar lake

Varajar was hell, but it was mainly because I was running out of time before I had to leave for work.

Got down to one or two remaining, and did four or five laps around the whole area before Dazehl Brainfreezer and company popped up.

I'd recommend actually doing Varajar with The path to Revelations up, if you haven't maxed your norn yet (I got 1,5k/boss I killed there, Rampage + Boss Bounty ftw)

I'd agree that Sacnoth may be the hardest - but some people do have a harder time with other areas.
I'd also agree that you should do them all anyway, just for completeness and self-satisfaction.
