I just got a new laptop, and when I minimize and return to GW, sometimes characters (including myself), will start "porting", though framerate and ping are both normal. That is, instead of smooth motion, they appear in one location, then a second later, instantly teleport to their next location. For example, if I pick up an item in PvE, I show up next to the item instantly, and then pick it up 3 seconds later. I click somewhere, I show up there instantly along with any summons, and then heroes teleport around me.
In PvP, same issue. Except it makes me cry, since you kinda have to know what's going on in PvP, as opposed to facerolling PvE.
Happens in windowed and fullscreen modes.
Specs: Nvidia GeForce GT540M
4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Win 7
Latest drivers, directX, etc. I run at max settings, 60-61 FPS at all times. Ping is usually 50-100 even when porting, so I suspect it is a graphics issue.

i have the same problem sometimes , but i think its about a background program or something , after a few min-max it works just fine
Golgotha
This has happened for as long as I can remember, to be honest.

It seems as though the client becomes out of sync with the server, as far as character position is concerned. It usually clears up after a while.
Unfortunately, I don't know the specific cause, nor do I have a good answer. It's never happened to me for any more than a few minutes, and only rarely.

I have the same problem, it usually will go away after a while but can be really annoying. I've found that instead of alt-tab'ing or minimizing, just drop GW into a windowed frame instead to prevent this.

The solution is not to press alt-tab.
Go to the top right hand corner of screen and click on the minimize button. This way you won't experience the skipping issue once u go back to the game.
Hope this helps.
