Hey.
GW is freezing at the login screen before I can log in. It is freezing about 1 second into it appearing.
Its working fine on desktop pc, but won't on my laptop. I've copied the working .dat file across to my laptop, which has made no difference, I've also re-installed GW to no effect.
Any ideas? It's only done this past 2 days or so.

have you checked your laptops specs lately?it may not be able to play it, especially the graphics card.

It could be a number of things. You need to be more specific when asking technical questions.
Let us know your specs, download a temperature monitoring program and check your temps, reinstall graphics drivers/direct x/sound drivers..etc.

Have you checked that it's not being blocked by a firewall? Try disabling any firewalls (Windows Firewall most likely) and see if it then works. If it does, you can then re-enable the firewall and add GW to the "allow" list, or whatever.

it's not a spec problem, ive been able to play gw for ages on it, can play black ops and other games too.

still odd, but ah well, it's stopped doing it now.

Hmm I'm having the same problem but restarting didn't help. It just says "connecting", was it the same for you?

nah, for me it just completely froze GW before i could even log in.
Shows up as not responding on the task manger too.
