Gate of Madness troubles!

Hey, im having trouble with the end bit of this mission, it's the last in need for my guardian title.
I can get to the temple fine, but then have real problems with shiro/lich.
I've killed shiro first once, but he decimates the rest of the team, and then the lich just finished the rest of them off.
I need to be able to activate the shrines for the master's reward, but this proves difficult when shiro is chasing the heroes around.
Any help?
Im using 3 discord necros, Emo Prot, Panic Mes, 2 Spirit Rits, and me (warrior).

I found taking Mesmers and Necromancers to be fairly useful, I set Olias to use Grenth's Balance and Gwen was Empathy while Norgu was Calculated Risk. I brought in Stance Removal and the only problem I had was keeping Shiro alive to get the five shrines we were decimating him so quickly. Then again I didn't do what I suggest below.

Have you tried doing what GWW suggests you doing?
Just close the five rifts and don't go anywhere near the door so Shiro and the Lich won't talk. Open up your map and flag them to the five separate shrines and you shouldn't have a problem. Once they activate all five let them run back to you and then you can all go on in and fight them both.
Don't forget that it doesn't matter if you keep control of the shrines, as long as you activated them once.

just doing the heros thing now, seems to work, have to see if it glitches or not

Pull one of them at the start (I usually pull Shiro, mainly because he agro's easier) and kill it. Then run around the other with heroes flagged to shrines, and cap them all the conventional way. If you need to, micro some long-lasting spirits - but not too many of them, because they can kill the Lich - while running; this serves to distract Shiro / Lich. If you have YMLAD, you can use it to snare Shiro / Lich while you run around. Lich's attacks are based on line of sight, so you can hide behind the shrines and he can't hit you, too.

What wipes parties is Shiro going apesh!t with Impossible Odds when his health is below 25%. As recommended on wiki, if you bring along Shadowsong to keep him blinded and Dissonance to block him (and throw in Aegis while you are at it for kicks), he will pretty much be ineffective.

easy enough, that combo destroys Shiro easy enough if done properly without capping any of the shrines - then cap all 5 then muller the lich in under 30secs

What happens is, that Shiro activates Riposting Shadows, and the heroes attack him and Shiro teleports out of his "function" range and refuses to do anything but try to get back to his original spot. With you bodyblocking he is an easy kill. Hope this helps. :P

managed it in the end after about 6 tries.
Used the fallging method for bonus, then just attacked shiro with my normal builds. I think PI helps, but not sure if it's all that useful.

PI isn't particularly necessary, though it can speed things along most definately.
Especially when Shiro starts jumping around like a retarded rabbit lol and double striking, those 80 damage points add up!
PI against the Lich is worthless as it attacks quite slowly and barely hits more than 150 at the best of times, may as well just SS hex / wand it to death.
