What WAS the price of Collector's Edition?
Ludichris1
Lately, I've been wondering how much Guild Wars 2 collector's edition will be. 80? 100? 120? 150? It's still unknown at this point. But then I thought, how much were Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall collector's editions when they were FIRST released? Do you guys know? Because I can't really find such info online... and it would be quite helpful for me and any others who are wondering about Guild Wars 2 Collector's. Thanks!

I think it was either 59 or 69. I would expect the gw2 collectors edition to go for the same amount.

guild wars prophecies was like 50 bucks as collectors edition, now that devine aura is desired as EPEEN it shot up to 400$... but i got a sweet combo deal as one package and got both bulk packaged Factions+Nightfall collectors edition box set STILL factory sealed for a TOTAL of $48.95 great deals are out there :/

if memory serves...both factions ce and nightfall ce were $69....I got my ce of prophecies between the time of those 2 (for much less than its going for now, but more than the 'cover' price).

I never got the collector versions of the later two games. Anything in them worth picking up?

Collectors editions and special editions and the standard edition, One wonders what they could put in this time.
After all we are getting a load of stuff from the HOM how much other stuff could we expect.
Previous CEs came with extras like books maps etc some of them nice others a little naff to be honest.
Prophesies CE gave us the aura and a headset with teamspeak software.
I got the special edition with a few skills opened up which was nice.
Factions if memory serves gave us the special Dance emotes and kuunavang mini.
Nightfall came with 2 more special dance emotes and a mini Varesh.
I know after missing out on the first collectors edition I got them for factions and Nightfall.
Much of the maps and books we got were read once and then put back in the box, never used the mouse mat or stood the cutout of varesh on my desk.
If I feel I can reasonably afford the GW2 collectors edition I will get it on preorder first chance I get.

I bought Prophecies when it was about 3 months old for €15 on Amazon... Although it says "Special Edition" on the front...
Includes: the Art of Guild Wars Book 2; Maps of Tyria; Bonus Music CD; Code for unlocking skills, plus weapon or Armour upgrades.
heh, they spelled Armour the Euro way... Cool.

Just looked in the box and found original reciept for $59.99 -$9.99 for preordering which I never paid a dime for preordering but bestbuy is kinda wierd.
I just noticed "guildwars" printed on the headset too, never noticed that before and thought it was kinda cool!

Thanks for the replies . So far, only one person says it's 130 dollars, but everyone else seems to say 70-80. I thought before hand I'd have to pay 120, but you never know. They might have a Collector's Collector's Edition, lol.
