To customize your expensive weapon or not?

You have to customize certain weapons to dedicate them to your Hall of Monuments so I make sure it is a weapon I plan to use the majority of the time. For example, I would have no problem customizing a Tormented Curses Staff since I will use that weapon and need to dedicate it.

Guild Wars has to be the only game where people will grind forever to attain rare weapons and end up being weaker for it because they are afraid to customize them. Its quite peculiar.

A few months ago my account got hacked and the gold seller who did it sold off all my gear...except 5 weapons that were customised.....that's enough reason for me to do it

My sins Tormented Daggers are customized cause meele is her main source of damage. +20% makes a big difference when doing things like solo HM Minister Cho's Estate.

That said, my monk and mesmer use +5 energy swords specifically because I don't want them wanding.

The rest I agree with everyone else. Customize if its a melee weapon. Customize if its for your hom (no shit right?). And ya know customize if its something you never want to sell that you don't want to loose if you get hacked.

What if I want to use it on another character? This is what DvG and all the other seasonal pvps are for for me. So FAIL for no account customizing. Maybe then I might do it.
PS: If you doing it to prevent being hacked, that doesn't stop hacking at all. They can still trash anything they want.

For PvP, if I'm using a PvE char I always make sure everything is customized.
For PvE, physicals always, casters rarely.
For PvE, physicals always, casters rarely.
