Sharable Thread Previews

Sooo some background.


I would love to see a section on the forums where I could post a thread but not have it show up to people but have a link to share it with friends.


This may seem useless but especially for people like me who spend a great deal of time trying to perfect the look of my threads. I usually end up screen-shotting the preview and sending it to people. For some of my sell threads this can take 3 or 4 screenshots and its quite a hassle.
This helps make sure the layout looks good and there's not small typos like now and know which can easily missed when looking at your own work but someone else would catch it immediately.


So basically it would be a place where you could post your thread. But wouldn't show up in the index. And the only way it could be reached was through a link.


You could have a short duration on the threads like 48 hours plenty of time to get feedback or perfect the look. Without taking up a ton of space.


Mods could possibly have the ability to view all the threads in the section to ensure its not being used to traffic small children knowing that in a matter of days the evidence would be gone.

I don't really see a point to having something like this. It's what the Preview Post button is for -- you don't have to submit your thread until you've gone over it as much as you need to.

Indeed but it's just a pain to have to screenshot it or post it in order to get feedback from other people on the layout and design (esp important in sell threads) and checking for errors and flaws in logic in the case of other threads.

Don't most people anymore have their own forums set up somewhere as a sandbox for themselves? Plenty of free forums you can create out there.

Many seem to read things differently like recently I used a series of ★'s and what worked on one made anything after I think it was the 10th ★ didn't show up in the thread as a result i spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why only the first item I was selling was showing up.
