Can't Get Guild Wars to Run

My Guild Wars seems to be in an eternal state of loading. I click to open the program, and the pop-up screen that says "Connecting to ArenaNet" shows, but it won't load. I'm connected to the internet, and I've turned off my firewall, but still nothing.

Is anyone else getting this problem?

No problems here. Did you reboot your computer since this problem happen? Have you tried running the Diagnostic Utility? Run a shortcut with the -image switch? Have tyou run GW with an Administrator account? If you are running Windows Vista have you tried turning off UAC?

Have you tried right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator"? That usually fixes it for me.

Edit: I know this works for Vista/7 but I do not remember if XP has this option, and I don't know what operating system you are using.

My computer is on Windows XP. The game seems to randomly work or not. One day it will work perfectly fine, but then the next day it may not load at all (it sticks on the "Connecting to ArenaNet" screen). The problem (when it arises) seems to fix itself by the next day, but there have been times where the game won't load for a coup,e days at a time.

I was playing early today, but when I came back a couple hours later, the game won't load.

I haven't lagged out of Guild Wars before, the game just sometimes won't open for me.

Does anyone else ever get that problem?
