The Bubble Society
==============================================
The Bubble Society not just a guild it is a community
The Bubble Society was an idea I had years ago to put challenging and life back into the game and return to what it felt like in the beginning when it was all new and you had to earn your gear and skills to progress in the game.
It was popular at first with about 15-20 alliance members participating but interest waned with some of the mechanics that made it some what restrictive such as required in games goals and leveling restrictions.
With a few changes though i still think it would Work and prove to be fun.

The Concept
==============================================
The concept is as follows: Everyone who joins The Bubble Society must create all new character(s) of their choice and they all must begin in Prophecies. These toons are separate from the ones you already have so no one is saying get rid of them. These new toons live in a world where no one else exists except for them. They are like the Amish of Guild Wars.
These Toons are obviously not going to be your mains. These will be your "What the hell am I gonna do for now" characters. These are not title grinding, speed clearing, or raptor farming toons... they are something simpler they are "just play the game toons," like it used to be.
These toons have no interaction at all with anyone outside the society and must abide by the following twists:
Bubble Society Members Cannot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Group with anyone outside of the Bubble Society.
2. Accept trades or pick up items dropped from anyone outside the society. Even from your other toons.
3. Can not use Tomes to acquire skills
4. All skills learned from a vendor are limited to ONLY the skills that the vendor originally offered. You will need to check with Wiki to get this list. This will limit you to only Prophecies skills until you quest your way to the other campaigns.
5. Must join The Bubble Society guild. By doing this it will help keep us in communication with each other and will remove the "Bubble" in the name requirement since the Guild and Cape will identify you as a member..
6. Hero's and Henchman can be used but can only be equipped with Skills your toon knows, not your account based knowledge.
7. Storage Chests are usable. Your toons can not take anything out of the chest and equip or use it that he/she did not put there on a Bubble Society toon.
8. You can not use bonus items.
9. Can not use Crafted Cons
10. Must progress through all the campaigns as they were introduced into the game. Prophecies --> Factions --> Nightfall --> Eye of the North. As each new campaign is unlocked so is the creation of new characters for that campaign.
Obviously none of this can be enforced. So there is a sense of honor that everyone who joins follows the above rules. Purposeful violation will result in banishment from the Guild, not that it means anything.
These twist give a feel of what Prophecies was like in the beginning. It's a return to old school when the game had some challenge to it other than beating UW in under a con set.

me and a friend did something similar to this. we made new chars, no storage, no tomes, only skills that the skill trainer had when no skills were unlocked on your acct. we played through the campaign with no running and no hench. we started off RPing but slowly stopped doing that, then eventually he became too inactive so i deleted the char for space. id definitely like to team up with a few other players who are active and want to do it again tho.

This is completely awesome! I'd be down for it if you could make a few alterations.
1) Make a guild. It would be extremely difficult to team with others without a guild. The guild obviously cannot be a member of an alliance.
2) Change "bubbles" to a different word that is more identifiable to what you are tyring to do i.e, "prophecies" or "proph"
3) (for the very dedicated, and yes I would do this) - buy Prophecies only accounts and only use this account for this guild.
This could be a great idea I'm very interested.

My hubby & I would both be interested in this. When it comes to utilizing a Guild and 2nd account we both have alt. accounts to use & one is pure Prophecies with very little game play (1 character in pre, 1 pvp toon).
In regards to maintaining contact with your current Guild, that really falls on the individual player & their current Guilds. Some are far more casual than others.

If he doesn't get this started up and we could get like 20 active people willing to get prophecies accounts, I would definitely do this in a more open way. Like, no name restrictions. The only rules would be no partying with people outside the guild and no buying from people outside the guild, although I don't see selling to said people to be a problem. No running places. Also no farming would be a good rule, like you can't repeat an elite mission/endgame content because from a non-farming standpoint doing so wouldn't make sense.
I'm SO down it's not even funny. I might even do more than one character! I tried getting my guild to do something like this before, but we decided on something a bit less tedious.
I agree that it would be easier with a guild, but I probably wouldn't join a different guild. What about a friends list system for keeping in touch with other bubbles? I'd be willing and will edit with my char name if there is interest in this.

Just saw this update.
... does this mean that those of us already in nice guilds (i.e., I don't want to leave my guild) are left out?
