Hi,
A few weeks ago I started having a small problem with Guild Wars. It started taking a long time to connect from the login screen. It gets stuck at the "Connecting..." window for a couple of minutes before it finally logs in. Before that the "Connecting..." window flashed by so fast I could barely see it.
I can't think of anything I've changed, but I've determined that if I bypass my router (an Asus RT-N56U) then the connection delay will disappear, so I'm assuming the problem is with the router. Has anything similar happened to anyone else, and is there a fix besides just bypassing the router? Maybe there's a setting in the router that could be changed to fix it...
A minute or two isn't really a very long wait, but it's still annoying when I know it should only take a second.

Hey ! I experimented the very same problem :/ though it gets stuck only ~15 secs for me.
Could it be due to the recent 2 june update ? I remember the issue starting around this date.

Waited about 2 minutes to get into DD the other day was, had the same problem as you, was stuck at 'Connecting'. I think it's just the guild wars servers that are lagging abit.

Maybe that's when it started, I'm not sure. I just don't see why bypassing the router should fix it, if it's caused by a game update.
This doesn't just happen once in a while, it happens every single time I log into the game, except when I bypass the router. And it's only at the login screen. Everything else works fine.

Started happening to me some weeks ago too.
I believe it is caused by the update.

Actually I've fixed this now, by just typing in the DNS servers manually in the TCP/IP settings in Windows, so it was a router issue for me. Guild Wars was the only thing that was affected by it though...

Same thing is happening to me!
