LDD again... nm
Steps_Descending
I'm playing with a friend(frigide) throught proph, we're kinda stuck for a couple of days (3) at Last day dawns (nm). We're close to do it, but does anyone have some advices for that one? 4-man areas are tricky everytime, especially when half the party is not too experienced.
We are playing on a necro and an elem, both without much done outside of proph. Our current strategy revolves around :
WoH protter
ranger "tank" (as in, the not-too-squishy)
air elem
air elem on necro with Maelstrom/WardvsHarm for the sparks.
The strategy so far is Maelstrom to counter the initial spike then spike.
Order generally goes like : spark->titan -> mesmer/monk ->titan child ->clean up.
PS. I've played for a long time, no need to hold back. Just the first time I do that quest + new char + friend is new player.

If you have factions you should abuse some rits and rit skills

I don't know whats the flaw in your setup. is it the lack of experience or the builds.
I'd try a bonder, tank and 2 nukers if your willing to stick to the "tanking" idea.
or else, balanced as in a dedicated healer, MMprot or so, frontliner, damage

@maya : like what? it's a a 4 man mission and I think ST healers generally lack the endurance to be main heal. Might try actually, it IS a 4 man area after all.
the tank idea might be interesting, it should be possible with the way the groups approach.
By mm prot, you mean mm+ spirits à la Discord? I was hesitant because of all the elem flying around. We made it to the last enemy one time (yeah...), but maybe I'd try the a "real" tank.

i just did the hm version like an hour ago, and my setup was st rit with some offensive spirits, sos rit with party heals, an ineptitute mes, and me, (ua monk)
if you guys are forced to have monk, ranger, ele, and necro, i would make the monk ua, the ranger a dagger spammer with pet, the ele either air ele with invoke and great dwarf weapon for the ranger or a sos ele with splinter for the ranger, and the necro an mm. just remember to pull carefully, abuse the enemy ai, bring frozen soil (if they rez each other in nm, im not sure if they do) and always spike down the nukers as fast as you can.
if you can change professions, i would just go with the build i used, maybe swapping the st rit with an mm.

thks for the name, I'll probably try mm-ing with an SoS hero if we fail again for too long. if I cap AotL, minion raising shouldn't be too much of a problem. only thing is casting Nova quick enough at that point
Imevil
Or start from yak's...impossible to fail with 6

@Imevil : We could have done that too, but it'd be a long walk. Probably a huge boost for a group with 2 fixed class. Anyway, we finally did it with ward vs Harm, maelstrom and the team we were using, just a matter of more coordination I guess.
Anyway, we're at Kryta and I'm starting to think about giving up and comming back when we have a better group. Too few heroes for now, too few skills avaliable (on the char), too annoying to wipe. I probably need to find a better build as a necro too. Starting to remember why all my necros ended up deleted, at least now I play with someone.

Yeah NM, cause I don't like asking a friend with an OP build when I'm playing slowly with a rl-friend and we made the whole damn game without touching ST or PvE skills.
And an imbagon is boring, c'mon! WvsHarm did the same.
(especially when that means switching to speaking english or not speaking at all because the carry (geez, who needs to be carried anyway??!??!11) doesn't understand)
