What are your fastest campaign completion times?
ACWhammy
Hi all,
I'm curious to know how long you guys think it takes to complete each campaign from start to finish, on normal mode. Time spent in hours on each individual campaign: Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and also for the Eye of the North expansion.

Prophecies: 2.5 weeks, playing 2-3 hours a day, every day.
Factions: 15 days, playing 2-3 hours, every day.
Nightfall: 4.5 weeks, playing 2-3 hours a day, every other day.
Eye North: 3 weeks, playing 3-4 hours a day, every day.
I take my time.

Prophecies... Deoends if you count being run to thunderhead, if so a couple hours. If not Probably a week just because Proph gets me bored.
Factions less than a day if I'm determined. 3 days max playing sparingly.
Nightfall 2-4 again depending how determined I am at finishing it.
EotN- Under a day, 2 max.
Not sure about hour time.

Prop and Factions took me quite a while, but I beat Nightfall when it first came out in 1.5 days. Granted it burned me out so I don't recommend doing that. I'd rather go through things slowly. Seeing as that wasn't entirely start to finish, I'd add another 10 hours which is how long it took me to get a dervish out of pre.
AngelWJedi
few hours to a week or more depending on if i grind it out or not. xD and its for each campain
_Deals_
eotn-8 hours ish of constant game play (including primary quests before each mission)
tyria-a long and enduring 2 weeks since i dislike it
factions- honestly? took me 11 hours or less of non stop game play, and that's been done a few times
nightfall- 3 days

Factions: 5-7 hours with a new char, but i had the 10k faction allready from another char.
Nightfall: ~8 Months, i started to play Gw with a dervish as first char, gained expirience trough that
Proph: played my ranger through it in ~5 days, öaying with friends which also did a new char.

All of my times are with existing toons. None from scratch.
Proph I can complete two days max playing approx 6 -8 hours a day.
Factions has been done a few times in around 8 hours
Nightfall a week. (My least favorite.)
EOTN I can get thorugh in less than a day if I am really determined two days max of pretty solid gameplay.
Again these are all established toons. To start from scratch is something I don't want to think about. I have 11 toons and have no desire to start another one anytime soon.

Ok thanks guys, I'm debating on whether or not to create a level 20 of each profession and getting them all Heroes and PvE skills.
How are you guys doing eotn in 3-6 hours? Are you just making a running build and running through the quests?

Prophecies - Dunno.
Factions - 10 Hours Hardcore Gameplay + 10k Faction Done.
Nightfall - 15 Hours-20 Hours.
EotN - 7 Hours-9 Hours.
I remake characters ... a LOT. Factions I can actually do in one sitting but Nightfall takes me one sitting + 3 hours the next day. xD I'm so glad I finally found my main though, I'm going through Factions again for my ~20th time and it's taking me four days forcing myself to do missions. ._.
(One sitting as in starting a character at like 7am and plowing through, not counting in the times I have to go get something to eat and drink).
Good luck haha.

@ACWhammy there is a difference in how long it takes to complete the campaign and how fast you can get lvl 20.
I think factions is still the fastest to get 20.If you want to get to 20 and get all the heroes and pve skills.I would recommend starting in factions blitz trough the beginning as soon as you can run and get the heroes, go back to Cantha finish it.Go to EotN finish it and get the pve unclassed skill.Go to Elona and using the pve skills have a easy time. Finally go to Tyria and do that, you could always not completly finish Tyria nobody will blame you since it's so boring.
Edit @Ok Dont Panic. How the hell do you get a worse time in Cantha then both Tyria and Elona? If it's not your favorite or you don't really try to go fast in it then i can understand.

Thanks Xenex that sounds like the fastest way to do it. However I'm trying to be versatile and use characters form each campaign; seeing as how I created them awhile ago and just didnt invest much time in them. You are right about Prophecies, it takes way too long.
So I guess the best way is to create your character in whichever campaign you choose, skip to EotN as fast as possible to get Heroes and PvE skills, then go to NF and complete it. Sounds easy now lol
Then I'm going to do War in Kryta on all of them...I want to have each profession ready to play any new content when it comes out. Am I crazy?

Mmm well
@Xenex Xclame I should have stated I go by my factions chars.
Making a factions char > the starter island can be slow as hell. So from start to finish takes about 7-8 hours including getting faction (assuming you don't have HM this means AB / FA /JQ
For the others its just a matter of foreign characters skipping most of the long starter bits from NF and Tyria. EoTN i've done so many times its a breeze.
Fall back and strong teams as well as knowing little short cuts make it a lot faster most EoTN missions in NM take what 5-10mins tops so its not that hard in EoTN factions missions you have to wait for NPCs a lot.
NF on native character can be slow as cuz you have to get 2.5k SS faction and without HM thats slow.
IF you are looking at getting 10 chars fully developed all Pve skills is a + getting through Cantha is TOTALLY WORTHLESS unless you are needing to ascend fast. And get to doa asap.
Embark means that you don't have to actually get to Hzh / Cava on all chars same with ToA. Just saying if thats what you are aiming to do.

Fastest times all have to be on my paragon (counting going backwards in the games to do the starting missions)
Proph:~4hours
Factions:~3hours
Nightfall:~6hours
Eotn:~3hours
Nightfall is a slow strat but I think it's the best to start from because you get the other 30 attribute points so easily

You posting that all your times have been on your para kinda makes me wonder.
I'm sure there's a difference, though I'm wondering if its anything noticeable.
What class would get the best time finishing a campaign.
Personally I think necro would have an advantage, being able to run minions meaning he could possibly go trough stuff faster.Or would a monk healing mean that there is less downtime and keep the red bars up increase the speed.Or SoS with those powerful spirts. Etc.

Aycee
I'd say any caster that sufficiently runs Spirits and has the epic skill that is Summon Spirits could rush a campaign pretty fast.
Chrisworld
Think i did factions in less than a week
Spiritz
nightfall has pros and cons which can affect times - you easily get your attribute points where both other campaigns you sort of have to hunt for the quests, nf gives you the quests auto. But as a con nf has the annoying part where you need certain ss rank to continue and if you have chosen to rush to lvl 10 then skip to eotn etc suddenly upon return ( as lvl 20 ) you suddenly find if you have no hm access you will struggle to get the attribute ranks.
Actually id say all 3 campaigns in a way have pros and cons but each campaigns is different.
