Zaishen Vanquish

Is it just me or did the ZaiShen Vanquish suddenly becomes more generous starting today?

You don't need to clear all the enemies now, you only need to kill at least 25 of them for the same rewards.

Isn't that supposed to be a direct address to the 1 kill vanquish bug?

You still have to vanquish. I believe it was just a weak attempt to add another requirement so that you can't complete the quest by simply killing the Guardsman or the Drinkmaster while the Zenmai quest is active.

Yes you must vanquish, and yes the minimum is to attempt to address the "bug".

Remember too, the number of foes is highly variable, being dependent on what quests one may or may not have active. I just vanquished it with over 200+ foes.

If you don't have "Chasing Zenmai" and "The Drunken Master" active, simply killing 25 enemies won't do. You have to complete the vanquish.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle Zen Daijun when that one comes around.

That one is only viable for Faction characters. Nightfall or Prophecies characters had to do the full vanquish.

Unless anets changed it since yesterday - you can do the z vq with 1 foe kill or 6 ( chasing zenmai ) or with the drunk quest.And i was surprised and annoyed when i did the first vq attempt - 135 foes and was running around like an idiot trying to find them all but next chr ( thank god of the low vq number ) was a 55 monk ( now you can lol ) and luckily i had 6 kills and she managed to keep out of aggro.

yeah the text should be changed as you have to do a full vanquish (if you dont have the quests) to vanquish the area--very misleading.

The Budek Byway one can be exploited even more just by partying with someone that has the right mix of quests (Chasing Zenmai, drunken master, and make sure no one in the party has afflicted guards or Eliminate Amh Fah/Jade Brotherhood or Feed the Hungry).

With that, you only need to defeat drunken master. I made 1500 copper coins from that as I happen to have just such a character. Would have doubled that if my other character in the other account still has chasing zenmai.

Does this till work? cause i tried to do this and mobs till spawn at the "The Drunken Master" quest area.
