Stream starting in a bit. Had to wait for all 7 rounds of Swiss pairings to finish.

I feel the commentators had a very closed mindset and did not explore all of the aspects of how the mAT participants were thinking. I hope to hear less of this in the future as close mindedness is what hurt the PvP community to begin with.

Fun commentary's. Making statements that are proving wrong in the subsequent minute is a commentators curse . I would like to see more indept review of build-choise if there's time, (2 short semi final left quite a bit)

well, I guess there wasn't much to say since most of it was brainless spam and buildwars (aka 4monk) in semi-finale just to put 1example.

Actually, the 4 monk countersplit was pretty much the only true innovative build we saw. The Paragon build (with dervs spamming spikes on targets) was a close second.

We were really hoping to see something than was at least on par with the 5 Hammer Warriors build a couple months back this time, but all we got was a reminder how 3 dervs are all that's needed to win GW at this point in the game.

They just dropped rit and ranger, didn't know that was innovative.
Maybe I'm living in another world.
More on topic; they still steamrolled zQ with only 4offensive characters and if that doesn't ring a bell at anets door then i rly would like some of shjt they r smoking.

I use to love CB :(

Most of Anet do not play Guild Wars and the Test Krewe seems non-existent. CR have no clue what takes place in GW1 and hence can provide no meaningful feedback to the live team.

It is what we have got use to......sad but true.

It's true there was alot of build wars, but that just shows even the most overpowered build isn't invincible. Although trip derv does require balancing, it shows the smarter guilds could deal with it. eLuv actually flawlessed trip derv on the most trip derv friendly map in the rotation; Burning Isle. You could argue not the 'best' (what is best?), but the smartest guilds came out on top. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

The final was definitely a dissappointment and so was most of the swiss rounds, which was 80% dervish and another 20% fevered dreams. But there were definitely some fun highlights like you mentioned, quad monk and the paragon build.
