What's the best shrine (at the entrance of a zone) where you can get killed over and over while just staying at the shrine?

Two come to mind. If you leave Ice Tooth Cave and die, the shrine where you end up at is sometimes infected with shiverpeak. You might have to pull them at first.

The other is in Ember Light Camp. You'll need to pull, but they usually don't go away after you've died.

I'm curious what you are trying to accomplish?

If you're doing this to eat candy canes, using BiP & resmers is a lot faster

if your doing as rage suggests there are quite a few places - the worse being dreadnoughts drift ( i think thats its name ) as the rez point is right next to extrance and quite a few patrols - the downside is literally after rez you will be ganged upon by them and the whole team will have 60 dp easily but whether you will have time to use a lot of candy etc i cant say but i know its nasty there.
BuD has what id call the easy method and can be done anywhere.
Tbh the method i prefer is going out vq in hm and using candy as you go - its less boring but you get drops on the way.

I would suggest the one outside Bergen Hot springs. If you don't go the BiP Resway just take a few steps and the rangers come right to you.

The one at Bergen works fine for sweets, I take a UA monk (All the monk has is UA) and place them on the rear corner closest to wall. Then let them kill you with the monk at the rear of your agro bubble. After you die and rez, run towards the rez shrine and turn at the shrine and go back on the right side to die again, same as before. This way you avoid the painful rez time and do something a bit more stimulating. It works pretty well for me.

Why the run to the shrine?......There seems to be a period of about 5-6 secs where your death wont count towards DP, hence the run of about 5-6secs to make it as short as possible, about 60dp in less than 30-40secs once you got the feel of it.

That is correct, I still have stacks of these that are polluting my storage.
I guess I'll try the BiP way, thanks !

I just did candy canes myself. I found an easy way to do it is to bring 3 heroes with Unyielding Aura (if you have it) and some self heals. Then you put BiP on your bar (again, if you have it).

Go into your menagerie and go to the trainer or w/e and spawn a level 20 set of pets. Aggro them and let them attack you while you just spam BiP.

I think it can actually be done just as effectively without spawning the pets, the menagerie is just a nice place to get it done without random mobs getting in the way.

Got me through a couple stacks in about 20-30 minutes, have fun.

To speed up this process you can equip five superior runes for 105 HP then equip the -50 Grim Cesta, this won't change much with the BiP process and will become ineffective at 1 HP, but you can always swap two pieces to create health sacrifice again. This will make dying from monsters quick, assigning BiP to all your numpad keys will make it easier on your fingers to so you can massage the keyboard to sacrifice.
