Was wondering if there was a good app to read guru on, or a guru app for my Android? Reading forums on a phone is not the easiest but many forums are getting apps to do so.
Thanks
Guru App for Android?

Although it's certainly easy to make one, it would know of your guru account details which could be abused if the programmer is shady. Unless source is given, analyzed and compiled by guru staff first.
There's certainly some advantages with an app though, not only would the forum be easier to read, but it can avoid downloading avatars and images that could otherwise chew up on your mobile data plan.

We're hoping to get Tapatalk once the forum is converted to IPB, but unfortunately I don't have a time frame for that.

IIRC you can use the forum options to disable avatars, signatures and to not show images automatically. Guru could also provide a theme that looks good in mobile browsers -- it would certainly be a lot simpler than writing an app for every major mobile OS.
On a more general note, making an app for every website, for every OS, is a very wasteful and backwards approach. It might make sense in particular situations, but not all.
LE: The Tapatalk approach, with a single app reusable for multiple forums, may be somewhat better.

I've used Opera Mobile on both Symbian and Android based smartphones with no issues. I tend to keep image loading off and the functionality still works well with pm's and posting. It's not too bad at dropdown menu's either which is handy for (for me) modding on the move.
