It's not an item, but I found a boss named Ming the Judgment, who is a smiting monk Am Feh boss with Ray of Judgment. I'd assume it's because they eliminate the Afflicted, so they need bosses with their elites?

I dont understand the reasoning behind having the weapons as purple items and how they are skins that were already out

They are purple so as not to piss of the classic item collectors who have perfect gold versions (it's awesome how ArenaNet constantly caters to a minority of the community who enjoy a niche created by inferior game design). They are already out but items in Factions don't drop with inscriptions because inscriptions were introduced with Nightfall and ArenaNet made the piss poor decision to leave Prophecies and Factions items back in the stone age (for the above reason).

Most of the items were already available but not as inscribable items. The daggers are actually two swords (something they have been doing since WiK and the Canthan Blade) and the focus is a single dagger with the wand being a previous offhand. Recycled skins to add a little more reward for earlier content while saving the new skins for the later chapters I'm guessing (Imperial Weapons).

Purple and recycled skins, how disappointing. I can only hope there is something more to be done with the Commendations further down the update path.

I heard from somewhere that they'll be unleashing a new imperial (?) weapon set later.

I can't believe how many people are upset the weapons are purple. It doesn't make them any less useful.

I found En Fa the Awakened in The Undercity. It's an Am Fah boss with Order of Apostacy.

What was the reason for making them purple though?

To ensure the high end weapon market does not have a QQ-fest. Honestly, I find this to be a pretty good balance that caters to both crowds more or less. I applaud ANet for that decision.

You know the color of the text on an incribible traded/crafted weapon doesn't really matter right?

So if you like the skins, the purple text means nothing. I could see someone going for a fan wand with a paper fan offhand, dual wielding fans.. or the jitte daggers. Also, platinum staff isn't bad.. but me I'm saving my commendations for the next set of weapons coming later.

Do remember this is only phase 1 of winds of change, it ends just when things start getting interesting.

It makes them ugly and less desirable. I want my weapons to be shiny gold goddamnit.

Why is everyone so upset at the weapons being purple? There are requirements that must be met to be a gold weapon, perhaps the weapons in question do not meet those requirements.
Either way, a useful weapon is a useful weapon reguardless of the color of the text.

Tbh I was dissapointed as well in the new weaps (the ones so far) for the same reasons as most.....all of the chat in game that I heard was of the same nature. If they made them in such to:
Then imo they made a poor decision. The QQ fest from the masses is 10 fold that of the possible high end weap market one.

The only glimmer of positive I have seen is that ppl seem to like the idea of dual weilding fans (imo would be nicer as daggers with rit dagger animations but oh well)(or frozen, forgotten, tattered, pronged with glitches fixed.....wishful thinking)
