Are Textmods Allowed?

Hey guys, ive been thinking about downloading GWDressUp and GWVanquisher from ArgosSoft but i want to know if these are allowed 100%, as i dont want to risk getting my account banned.

Yes, everything texmod is allowed, but I'd be more afraid of where you're downloading from. Be safe! Ö

They have nothing to do with Texmod.

Anyway, no alteration to the game is officially "allowed", Anet stance on this matter is: use it at your own risk.

Some mods are known to be tolerated, yet neither GWDressUp nor GWVanquisher are among those, so no one knows for sure.

Also, note its Texmod, not textmod.

I don't know that GWDressUp and GWVanquisher are texmods. From the descriptions I've heard, they seem to offer functionality beyond what texmod can do, that seems to require access/alteration to GW's process in memory. That would be a no-no.

Also, unlike texmod (which has been around since the days of Tomb Raider without exhibiting malicious behavior), these programs are relatively new and only used by a small number of people. Without seeing the source code for myself, I could not say one way or the other whether they have a hidden malicious payload.
