Looked around but didn't find anything about it...so plain question:
Daze: makes action easily interruptable, aka: any attack can interrupt skills of a dazed foe.
Meele/ranger's autoattack, which are physical, trigger the interrupt effect.
Splinter: test (with mark of pain/barbs/winnowing) proved that Splinter causes Armor-ignoring Physycal dmg.
Now: does Daze interrupt effect trigger on the Splinter dmg cause it's Physical?

From both wikis about Splinter weapon:
Was tested and proved with screenshot here on guru too.
If i hadn't found that statement i wouldn't even bothered to ask, no?

Damage from this skill is armor-ignoring-physical damage: it benefits from Winnowing and triggers Mark of Pain and Barbs. |

I doubt it because it's not an attack; Dazed specifically requires an attack and does not respond to damage type.
Consider someone with an elemental weapon mod, or under the effects of Judge's Insight or a caster attacking with a wand that causes Dark or Chaos damage; note that their attacks will still trigger Dazed.

So Daze triggering is based on the dmg source instead of type, unlike mop/barbs?
Thanks for the clarification.

Easily Interruptible: Any successful attack will cause an interrupt.
Dazed makes all spells 'easily interruptible'.
A straightforward test would be to enter a scrimmage match against a friend that has a long casting spell, say Meteor Shower, whilst you enter with Splinter Weapon and Broadhead Arrow.
Have your friend stand next to one of his Archer NPCs (or any NPC really) and use BHA on him. Then immediately cast Splinter Weapon on yourself and have you friend start casting his long activation spell. Then attack the NPC under Splinter Weapon. If this works as expected then your friend should not be interrupted.

I believe ranger's whirling defense interrupts also, and that's considered physical damage (affected by winnowing). You can check that in mnts as a ranger terra, the behemots traps are rupted. And you don't really attack them. Therefore, this theory might be plausible, I guess you get 1 shot to go out there and test it out?
