WoC Bukdek Afflicted Chest Nerf?

My main has done some of the new WoC quests, and I tried running that chest just outside Kaineng, but no Afflicted were there - it was all Am Fah. So, I deleted all my WoC quests, but still no Afflicted there - only Am Fah.

Hopped on an alt, who hasn't done any WoC yet. The Afflicted were there (no chest, but that's prolly luck of the draw).

Is this a bug? Do I have to finish WoC questline now to get back the old Afflicted spawns?

FWIW, tried numerous searches on this subject, but none helped...

EDIT: May try again, after deleting WiK quests as well (!!!)
EDIT': Deleting all WiK quests made no difference, still nothing but Am Fah there...

I'm pretty sure that once the relevant quests are done, the Afflicted go away and never come back.

The chest is still there you just have to run it on a character who has done none of the WoC content. I kept a runner for it.

which is 1 of the main reasons i haven't done any of the WoC stuff yet....unknown permanent alterations to the game.

at this point not even sure i'll do it at all from the "poor" reviews guru'ers have been posting

Is there something special about this chest?

@Quaker - it's the closest one to KC if you are chestrunning to get plagueborn weapons.

the chest still spawns with am fah there but not nearly as often as it did {about 1-10 runs from my brief testing a few days ago, thats down from about 70% when it was still a plagueborn chest} and once you have ran off the afflicted they are gone and so are their chest items.

It's hard to believe that the chest spawn rate was altered from this new stuff but it certainly has been from what I have seen.


oldest/easiest chest run that I can recall as well as plagueborn heaven...
about 45 sec complete run with little more than a run skill needed.



{EDIT} took a few toons who haven't done any woc crap and the plagueborn chest spawns at the same rate it always has...

So, in other words, no, it's nothing special, in which case this was just a QQ thread.

He was asking a specific question regarding a chest spawn...hardly a QQ thread.
