Yesterday, my Guild Wars was running perfectly.
I was able to do what I do in Guild Wars.
Until, Well ; Today.
My Computer runs the Client easily, no issues there.
But five minutes after I ran the Client and I logged in, (In a Random Location
with a my character). It Freezes. Just like that.
*Freeze*.
This dosen't happen with other programs, I guess it's Guild Wars.
Could anyone give me a list of solutions so I Can fix this please.
Sincerely,
Chris.

If it's a desktop, open up your computer and blow the dust out of it. Make sure you get as much dust as possible out of any heatsinks and fans - specifically on the processor and video card.
Check to make sure that any and all fans are running smoothly - places to check: processor (CPU), video card (GPU), chipset (motherboard), front and rear case, and power supply. (It's OK to start it up with the side open to check the fans.)

Check other games that you ran on this machine successfully, the harder for your graphics, the better.

I started experiencing something similar as of today. After no more than a couple of minutes after I've started Guild Wars, sometimes eve after a few seconds, my screen will go black and my computer will stop responding. Nothing but a reset will work.
I don't know if it't the same thing but I wanted to avoid starting a new thread.
Any ideas?

In addition to cleaning the dust out, you could go, in-game, to Menu - Options - Graphics tab. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Auto Detect. Also, toward the top, set Anti-Aliasing to 2x or OFF. Then try it with those settings for a while to see if it helps.

I wrote to support and sent them a dxdiag report file. Within an hour I got this reply:
I have to say, aside from the stellar quality and response time of their support dept, my issue seems to have been fixed now.

The game client requires the latest DirectX 9 components; this is true even if you have DirectX 11 already installed. Please follow these instructions to install the newest DirectX 9 update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx? displaylang=en&FamilyID=3b170b25-abab-4bc3-ae91-50ceb6d8fa8d Please be sure to save the file to your Windows desktop. Then create a new folder on the desktop and extract the DirectX files into it. Once they have been extracted open the new folder and use the DXsetup file to install DirectX. |

As Quaker suggested, open up the case, clean clean up everything, re-plug everything. Then you might try this for a semi-automatic way of treating your software.
If the above don't help, borrow a video card from someone - as you described it, it's pretty similar to my own problems with the old machine, where tha video card was faulty. How old is it, anyway?
