New Posts -> including/excluding certain sections?

Most of the time I've followed this forum I've simply opened each subforum that interests me in a new tab, and then read through each of the threads that interests me in each one.

But lately I've been getting into the habit of simply using the New Posts link instead, which would be great except for one issue I have with it: the majority of new posts are in Ventari's, which for me just gets in the way of genuine discussion.

Is there any way that the New Posts option can be customised to include/exclude certain sections as specified by the user, or is this limited to "everything" only?

There is no way for a user to tweak it. Perhaps the admins can adjust it but for now it's just all forums you have access to. It's not really a big deal anyway. I find I mentally filter out the threads/forums I don't care about quickly enough. The best way to do things would be to go through the subforums that interest you like you did before and use the new posts button after you're finished to keep track of whatever is being updated.

You're right in that it's not too big a deal, I just thought I would ask anyway.
