Several months ago, some dude was trying to sell a three profession q9 20/20 Jade Wand on another site. I *really* hope his 700k reserve price was a joke.
Needless to say, it didn't get any bids. I guess someone who collects weirdness might pay a few plat for something like that, but they obviously don't have any practical use.
Y'know, I was just thinking... if ANet had spent more time designing the drop system to begin with, we might be free of lame inscriptions. Shields, wands, and foci should've had a much higher chance of dropping with two inherent mods, with the latter two having a higher chance of dropping with profession-matched inherents. Most Factions-exclusive skins for those three item types are extremely rare with good stats - rare enough (imo) that they might as well not be in-game at all. From the perspective of an average GW'er, anyway. For instance, how many players are using 20/20 Platinum Wands? Or even 10/+5^50? Lots of Mesmers with inscribable Domination versions, but decent oldschool ones are few and far between.
