Stuck on primary quest

I'm following this guide:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/p...-t3014664.html

I'm up to the frost gate quest.

Basically, I get to just before the Ballista and there is a group of 2 healers and 3 dps. I can't beat two healers ><
I've tried pulling and running away then sniping the dps so I can sit back and kill the rest, but the healers just keep healing each other. Then the second group comes over and joins the first and I have to deal with 4 healers all healing each other to full health.

I'm N/Mo level 14 and these mobs are 11 or less ><

I choose Alesia (healer), Stefan (melee tank) and some other dps... tried melee dps, mage, other necro... none seem to help defeat these 4 healers.

I have a spell that reduces incoming healing by 33% but they just dispel as soon as I cast it. I've Rq'd twice after spending 30min attacking, running away etc then watching my quest giver die cause he wants to follow me into battle.

I have what I believe to be the best armor for my level (haven't found better sold anywhere else) and have no other quests that I can find.

Can anyone help?

It seems to me that you're trying to go for the bonus. First of all, don't pick up the quest before you clear the area before the ballista, because as you said, you lose the NPC. After you clear the area, go back to the NPC and take his quest.

I'm not very good at fighting advices, all I could say would be not to take melee henchmen because they take more time to reach their targets than any ranged ones. Continue using skirmish techniques until you get a lucky break and you have enough time to burn a healer before another healer closes in to help him. Eventually you will be able to thin them down. Use ctrl+space to call your chosen target to the henchmen. If you're attacking a healer and another healer starts helping him, switch fire to a dps and try to get one down, so you can thin their numbers. Try to confuse the enemy as much as possible and to make them follow you on long distances, so you can split them up.

Alternatively, if you have some cash to spend, use one of the running services on Guru. I randomly picked a post and saw it offered at 6k. Or, do the normal mission and come back for the bonus later when you have heroes.

Good luck.

And when they do reach it, they unleash ungodly amounts of damage upon their target. Well, maybe not ungodly, but their damage output is far superior to that of caster henchies. It's also worth to remember that their higher armor makes it easier for Alesia to heal them.

I've beaten Proph recently always having warrior henchies on the team. No problems whatsoever.

Eh eh, i had the same problem when, years ago, i started to play GW.

You got 3 ways out of this problem:

1 - Get someone exp to lend you some heroes. I don't mind to lend them to you. Just PM in game. I'm more than happy to help.
2 - Don't do bonus. You can still do mission and proceed without doing the bonus.
3 - I believe you are talking about Defile Flesh. If so, they will clean it with Remove Hex. You need a cover and, if they are 2, they got 2 Remove Hex. Technically you'll need 2 cover hexes. Anyway, i believe one good alternative is bringing Claude so he can use Strip Enchantment on their Shielding Hands (please target healers with CTRL+SPACE so they won't waste that skill on foes with Strength of Honor). Without that, they will only use Heal Other which will burn their energy down quickly.

Hope it helps

A few things to consider.
If they dispell your hexes, try cover them with other fast casting hexes.
Or cast an AE hex first, let them dispell it and quickly follow with your vital hexes after while their hex removal skills are recharging.

Monk healer's big drawback is healing multiple targets. While there's a few skills that do it good (Healing Burst), I doubt theese npc monks have it. Heal Party will drain their energy quickly. So try tactics of pulling them into one tight group and AE damage them. Hit them with a skill like Enfeebling Blood. It's cheap cost for you, but the monks might focus more on burning energy on condition removal than your hexes.

The single most important thing about this particular mission is Enchantment removal.

Kill all the groups on the way to the Balista (including the groups shooting at you by the gate to your left when you run down the hill). To do this try to pull only one group as far back and away from the seecond group as you can, else you will end up with 4 instead of 2 healers in the group you are fighting.

If you are lucky you can manage to ball up everything in the split group around the monks and cast your hexes into the mob. The best method for hexing here is to cast unimportant fast recharging hexes first, wait till they have been removed 2 times and then cast your important hexes such as barbs, Mark of Pain or similar and imediately cover them. Dont forget to hex multiple foes by changing targets so as the monks are kept busy removing anything except for the vital hexes.

Once the groups are down, wander back to the bonus quest giver and pick him up. The rest of the mission is pretty easy comparitively (Just dont open all the gate locks at once at the end. Only open one, kill the foes that come to you then rinse and repeat for the remaining 2 locks).

Your party size is 6 now so make sure to fill it up. I couldn't tell from your description if you were or not.

It can be tricky that bonus I know I had trouble first time.

I would try pulling with a bow you should get good range because I think your on higher ground.

I would target one of their melee types first with luck he will come right up to you and if you keep pulling and backing off some of the others will give up the chase.

overwhelming firepower or splitting the mobs and killing them one or two at a time is the key.

Second choice would be to abandon the bonus then come back at a later date better prepared and do it then.

Here's a tactic to consider. First off, you need to know how to "call" targets - there are several similar ways, but basically they all involve holding the CTRL key while picking a target (Ctrl+space) or attacking (Ctrl+[Skill]).
So, call one of the healers - this will get (most of) your henchmen to attack that healer. Then, you attack (without calling) the other healer. That will keep the healers busy trying to heal themselves, and you should be able to overwhelm their healing and take them out.
Alternately, if you call any one of the foes, and therefore make your Henchmen concentrate on the one target, you may also be able to overwhelm the healers ability to keep them alive.
"Calling" is one of the keys.
