How do I delete a thread?

I have a thread open that I want to delete but can't figure out how. And the rules say I can only have I thread open at a time, so I want to delete it an open a new one.

you dont--we usually do not delete threads. You can ask for the thread to be closed and then a moderator or admin will take care of it (just edit the original post to say CLOSED--do NOT make another post in the thread).
