What weapon sets and armour for a dervish?

My armour is currently all survivor/vitae with a vigor, clarity and resoration rune. I strip my enchants a lot so i'm not sure windwalkers or blessed would really be better. Plus there's a ton of armour-ignoring damage. Can anyone prove to me the armour would be better? Don't give an example where the damage can all be reduced by armour, nobody gets kills auto-attacking.

And weapon sets, should i have shields vs all damage types, cripple and blind? Would armour/health be better on my weapons? Should i have both? +60hp is a lot to miss out on. What different kinds of scythes should i have? Spears? And anything i might've missed.

For PvE i tend to have wind walker insignias, Armor > Health especially with all the health buffs available to dervishes and their built in +30 on the armor.

As for runes i generally have a +1+1 scythe and a +1+3 scythe hood handy to switch between and then +1 mysticism nad +1earth/wind depending on what i am spec'ing into along with a vigor rune and a vitae.

I tend to use skills to manage conditions/hexes so i don't power with reduction runes.
As for pvp.. well ask someone else P:

And for weapons my main scythe has +20% armor pen (20% chance) +30 health and 15^50 Sundering Scythe of Fortitude with a strength of honor inscrip

I often use a Furious mod on my scythe to help with adrenaline.

Rune of Clarity to reduce the duration of the Blind and Weakness conditions.

Wind Walker Insignias are for sure one of the best choices for most builds.

Wouldn't bother with Shields vs. all damage types TBH, just a -2 w/enchanted and a 20% blind reduction shield should be enough for a Dervish, both with HP+30 mods.

Spear with Furious and max Defense or Shelter, to equip along with a Shield when you are in your defensive set. Also for plinking things at range for adrenaline.

And 4x Scythes, one Sundering or Vampiric, a Furious, a Zealous, and an Elemental (though you might want a few elementals considering a few Dervish skills trigger on a particular elemental damage type), all with 15^50 mods though you could probably easily get away with 15% w/enchanted on a Dervish too. Use HP+30 for the other end of the Scythe in most cases, else you'll have a nasty HP drop when switching to and from your defensive set, which if you aren't paying enough attention could spell your doom.

Keep a 20% enchanting weapon somewhere too (I guess you could get away with putting it on your Spear though instead of a defensive mod if you wanted to keep things simple) for casting those enchantments that you don't plan to tear down and that you want to keep up for as long as possible.

PvE: Windwalker's insignia. Take a Clarity rune, a minor Mysticism rune and either a Major or Minor Scythe Mastery rune to go on your head piece (which should be a +1 Scythe Mastery rune). A Restoration rune isn't too important. Also take the best Vigor rune you can get.
Weapons; a full collection of scythes would be nice but really you only need a Vampiric and Zealous one depending on your build, a Furious scythe might be nice. Again, depending on the build, you may find an Enchanting (+20% enchantment duration) suffix on your scythe helpful; otherwise stick a Defensive mod on it (+5 armour) or a Fortitude (+30 health).
A shield set would sort of be nice but I tend not to bother: any one handed martial weapon will do; stick a defense mod on it and anything other than a Vampiric or Zealous prefix. For the shield use a simple Fortitude mod and don't worry too much about the inscription.
Get any old longbow or flatbow to pull enemy groups toward you.

For PvP you want a much more extensive collection of weapons and shields. Create a PvP character so you can easily create the necessary items.
Use Blessed insignia for armour. Otherwise same runes as in PvE (although use a Minor Scythe rune and definitely take the Restoration rune).

If you're making heavy use of another attribute line (Earth or Wind Prayers) then consider taking a minor rune for that too.

For the scythe, it depends on the build, but if you use VoS or Onslaught, Of Enchanting is the best, otherwise Of fortitude. 15% while enchanted and 15% while over 50% are the 2 inscriptions you can choose from, they'll be up 95% of the time, doesn't really matter which you use. On the prefix, matter of taste, but I use Zealous because it generates a lot of energy when combined with Scythe hitting multiple targets.

On armor I use +1 to mysticism/scythe/wind and have a 2nd piece of armor with earth instead that I swap out. Don't really feel vitae is worth more than 1point in wind or earth.
