Energy Storage Enchantment Suggestion

Since there's a lack of skills in this line, I thought of something new:

(Element: Air/Earth/Fire/Water) Infusion:

Lose all enchantments. While you maintain this enchantment, you gain 1-3 points to (Element)'s attribute, but you lose 5-2 energy every time you cast a spell of this element.

It seems like a good trade off, obviously would need tweaking but it's something to ponder, perhaps a percentage increase instead of points to attribute.

Anyone have any input?

Canada, almost got to see a polar bear... :P

I think Glyph of Elemental Power is fine. No need to encourage spikers with this skill.

I don't think its bad and I think glyph of power hardly ever gets used/gets in the way of using other glyphs with the particular spells.

But you confused me with your post - you want these in your elemental line or energy storage? Per my 'Prismatic Attunement' suggestion in my other thread (think weaker non-elite Elemental Attunement to help with some of these cross-over ideas Anet is suggesting for Ele, and in my hopes of making them more than parlor tricks if that indeed is the way we're going...) I like it going vanilla, energy storage. But that doesn't stop specific ones either.

But let me take a shot at the 'vanilla' skill, which actually would tie in to my 'how do you get your attrib points up sufficiently amongst multiple lines when it's all about how much noise you bring to the party' -

Prismatic Infusion -

Lose all enchantments (OR this is an elite). While you maintain this enchantment, you gain +1-3 points to all Elemental attributes, but you lose 5-2 energy every time you cast a spell of any element.

You could still have 4 separate ones... hmm I just noticed you mentioned maintains too. I was thinking maintains as a possibility for the elementalist summoning/using elementals (or just one at a time with an exhaust shot). I think eles should have some options to get a little help through the use of some maintained choices at cost of their regen.

I'd like to see some protection/armor as one of them - sacrifice some of your outgoing for more durable protection vs incoming for the long haul, if you wish. If we add such maintained enchantments though we'd want to get more away from those spells suggesting we lose them all, too.

There would be 4 different skills for each element, but they would belong in the Energy Storage line, this way you could have your ES as your primary attribute, while bumping up the power of an element, but with the trade off of maintainance and the loss of energy.
