[Spoiler] Upcoming Fluxes
Reverend Dr
What's that flux that punishes kiting? Yeah that's a great flux.
Pugs Not Drugs
Battle of Attrition seems like it would be fun for a few matches, but I am not sure I could last a month with it. Most of these are garbage though, especially Battle Frenzy. WTF is that lol.

Hmm, it seems like I've missed a few. I was checking for IDs in the 3340+ range and the current flux is 2735.
There must be more fluxes hidden then, I'll report back in a few minutes with my findings!
Update: Checked 2730 to 3000, no other fluxes around there. They must have either hidden it in the lower IDs on purpose, or they finally started filling up the holes left by old skills being removed.

Great. A shame Quickening Terrain wasn't in the list.

This looks shopped.
I can tell by some of the pixels, and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

Its hard to tell if they're fake, really seems like things ANet would implement.

* Some of them don't make sense
* A few have grammar problems
* ANet has suggested that there will be one for each month (like tonics from the Zaishen chest), which would put it at 12, and there are 13 shown here
* The current flux isn't even listed
* Death's Succor is listed from the wrong perspective and the number doesn't look realistic at all (its 30000 in hex btw)
* All of the fluxes so far prevent stalemates by adding damage dealt or taken, while a lot of these would cause stalemates by increasing healing (Renewing Escape would kill RA for a month)
* Code (the guy who posted it) doesn't say where/how he found them and covered his tracks by saying "Keep in mind some of them are not released yet, so they may change or disappear entirely!"
* Fate Crusher made an excellent point:

I'm fascinated, really. I mean, I don't PvP, so I really don't care about fluxes and all that, but for some reason, this thread keeps dragging me back in. Must be something wrong with my head

How do I spike stand teams when the max damage per second is 20x3
Fight against despair is really risky
Renewing escape sounds ok
Battle frenzy could make for good gameplay, but it promotes gimics like rtl.
All others don't really effect combat much

Faking tip:
it is "within earshot", not "in earshot".

I do believe it is at this point rather obvious that these fluxes are faked as they are unrealistic and honestly, flat out the stupidest things i have ever heard. Lets get this thread out of here.

after july's flux, one'd believe just about anything regarding future fluxes.
headlesshobbs
I'm somewhat confused as to why flux changes are monthly? After looking through that list, having to wait the whole year to see the order renew itself isn't exactly what I had in mind. Now if the other content from Zaishen, Nicholas, sealed deck, etc are daily/weekly, why can't we put flux in this time frame to help randomize the outcome?

Flux should however be thought regarding whole PvP...I agree game is dead, they only care about GvG... but making other places even more terrible than they already are....
Hall map 1v1 is even easier for blue team and JQ allows roj monks to get on shrines even faster....Besides, the biggest problem in my opinion is that i'm not sure it had a big consequence on GvG. I surely didn't see many splitters... but however triple derv and invoke are still there and their tactic didn't really change due to the flux...
Maybe things will change next 2 weeks, but i have a feeling that august MAT will be a second july mat...

Next month's potential fluxes!
These look rather interesting, what do people think?

As for the first flux, it would be a slight nerf to Invokespike, as less armor well get ignored and there's more hp to deal with. The second flux tells me you're just making them up.
Missing HB
Well, i hope 1st flux won't be considered... Point was to attract more GvG'ers and it clearly won't...
Pretty much the same reason as why high league players beat lower everytime in starcraft 2 on long games...

Haha I wouldn't mind the Minion Apocalypse one. Quad Necro for gold again.

85 base damage with 25% armor pen on base 64 armor (as above with -20 flux) = 104 or 13% of total health at 800 health.
It doesn't do a damn thing against invoke.
-20 armor equates to 41% more damage
41% more health at 600 is 846
Mechanically this flux is almost identical to a 30% across the board reduction in healing. (taking aside degen, life steal, and prot interaction)
DiogoSilva
However, Cracked Armor is applied before the flux effect, which does makes air magic (aka, IL) delicious.
MetalMan
inb4 LOL HE GOT ONE CORRECT.
We can now assume Minion Apocalypse will be October's flux.

So base 85 damage 84 armor. 25% armor pen (calculated at 84 armor so -21 armor) is effectively 85 damage at 84 - 21 (arpen) -20(flux) = 43, 114 damage or 14.25% of total health.
Again the flux gives invoke a buff (its rather minor, but its still a buff).

I still don't understand what Anet is trying to achieve with whole flux mechanics. They hardly change meta, usually leading to OP stuff being even more retarded. On 1st in every month, there's usually a lot of 'wtf' reaction and there's a reason to it.
FoxBat
ErrantVenture
This is an incorrect statement. With the exception of last month's flux (which was pretty good) mos tof the flux have promoted boring and degenerate metas where the most effective builds are gimmicky and overpowered.

Huh. He got a heck of a lot of flak for the first, it might be taken a bit seriously now.
Maybe they add in support for multiple ideas proposed, then make the last minute decision because they're all unable to come to a complete consensus early on?

"Unyielding spirit" kept degen pressure out of finals?
"There can be only one" might have encouraged more hammer warrior linebacking, which is clearly worse than the dervs of last month?
It's not that the fluxes promoted boring metas, it's that they failed to correct for the boring metas that the skills themselves supported- mostly unnerfed dervs at that. You'd have seen the same with no flux in effect at all.
Plutoman
Seems like the effects have gotten more powerful (as in, the flux has had more of an effect) as we've gone on. Maybe they're addressing the fact that minor fluxes don't really change what's good, and are trying more drastic changes that will really encourage team changes.
