100k is fine as a slimit, especially since you can store more in your chest, and there is a perfectly good system for dealing with high end trades that pretty much everyone can use.
the auction house would be nice tho, hopefully in GW2 it will exist in some from

stop being lazy and turn your cash into tradeable income. It's not hard to buy ectos/ambraces/zkeys/shards/black dyes/strongboxes. 100 plat cap is fine. Players now a days just want everything to be easily done for them. The point of playing the game is to tackle the challenge. Try it some time.

I think so but they just moved to selling ecto/zkeys. It doesnt work to put such a small cap on trading currency because people will use something that can break that cap(ectos). RMTs will see this and sell that item because the player treats it as currency.
