Hello everyone

I am currently experiencing some issues with video signal loss.

Here is my system

Intel Core i7 2600k CPU
Maximus IV Extreme-Z Motherboard
EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 FTW Edition (3gb)
ASUS Xonar Xense Sound Card
EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 FTW Edition (3gb)
EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 FTW Edition (3gb)
(Soon to be a Galaxy GTX 460 Razor Edition for PhysX)
12gb Mushkin Ridgeline DDR3 RAM
OCZ ZX 1250W PSU

Koolance 3K3U Copper Water cooling Unit

Dell UltraSharp 27'' U2711 Monitor 1570x2560 (Portrait Mode)
Dell UltraSharp 27'' U2711 Monitor 1570x2560 (Portrait Mode)
Dell UltraSharp 27'' U2711 Monitor 1570x2560 (Portrait Mode)
Resolution 4710x2560

The problem I am experiencing is that at any given time, watching video or playing video games, I may experience complete signal loss across all 3 video cards and monitors, where I will lose all video signal and my monitors will start searching among its inputs but will not get anything unless I reboot again.

My CPU and each of the video cards is actively cooled by the Koolance 3K3U and the temperatures range between between 25 Celsius idle and under 50 Celsius under full load.

Can anyone please help? I am at a total loss.

Thank you!

You forgot to mention your PSU, I'm guessing that is the problem.

Yes Mascu your right, I did forget to mention it. Edited my post.

It is the OCZ ZX Series 1250w Power Supply http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-zx-...er-supply.html

Is this a brand new system or this is a problem that just started? Too me its sounds like driver or bios. Does your system stay active and uneffected when it happens. Does it occur if you switch to one solo card? Are your monitors connected to one card?

Off topic nice system ~ I see you are searching the forums so hopefully EVGA will get back to you.

Edit - since you have a modular power supply disconnect all connections to the graphic cards and power supply then reconnect them. also check the main board connection. I had a issue where my connector was not totally snapped in on the board and it would work but then abruptly stop.

Hi Painbringer

lol yes I am looking all over the place. Yes this is a brand new system. I should have mentioned that DVI 1 on each monitor is connected to the first DVI connector of each seperate video cards as indicated by NVIDIA during the setup of the monitors.

I am also running the latest drivers from NVIDIA 275.33. Have not found any answers so far.

I had the same problem when I was running 1 monitor. I have just recently assembled and setup my 3 monitor rig.

When it happens, my system seems unaffected. No error messages, no shutdown/restart, no weird sounds, just no video signal.

What exactly do you mean by "check the main board connection. I had a issue where my connector was not totally snapped in on the board and it would work but then abruptly stop."?

I am at work though. I will be able to try your suggestions when I get home reguarding the PSU connectors and disabling SLI.

My mainboard connector (20 + 4 pin) was connected but not fully clicked in. It worked fine until higher power was needed then it would just shut off. It was a mindboogling ordeal. and the whole time all I needed to do was push the cable in alittle harder.

All monitors connected with dual link dvi? with no converters? Also try a clean install with the newest drivers. Also try with 2 way sli and single cards in case one of the cards are bad.

Yep, all connected with Dual Link DVI

I will try your suggestions soon as I am heading home now. Will report news when I try.
