Favor and Statues of the Gods

I was running around today and earlier this week finishing up my last few vanquishes when I came up one of the statues (Lyssa today and I forget who earlier in the week). Figuring the world had favor and I only had a 4-man team, I decided to purchase the blessing to make the vanq a bit easier. However, when I kneeled to summon the spirit, nothing happened. I checked the favor and we had about 22,000 minutes or something absurd. I then remembered I was in the international district before I left the town.

SHORT VERSION

So my question is: Does it matter what district you're in in order to call a spirit from the different statues of the Gods to receive the blessings? (ie. American, European, International, etc...) Or is this just a bug?

The only thing I could think of would be that you may not have been in the right spot for it because I've had some issues like that before but one of my friends could do it when we were in the same group.

That's what I originally thought, so I tried it in different spots around the statue (directly in front of, behind, side, on). Maybe it's a bug? Happened both times in the Ascalon area

Ah thats why. The Ascalon statues cannot be awakened like the statues in later areas.

Well, I know that back when favor depended upon who was winning PvP, it mattered. So, it's probable that it still does - the achievements are no doubt region specific.

I was able to get the blessing from the Balthazar spirit in Old Ascalon...

Sorry I was wrong. I confused it with the fact that the prophecies statues only gives the standard blessing and option to buy dp removal and not the god specific blessings you see in faction.

It's quite alright. I'm just trying to figure out wha was going on lol. Think it was because I was in the international district though. I will try running to statues from different districts this weekend to test the theory and post the results on here.
