I was playing and while pm'ing someone I noticed something :
He used a different font from one PM to an other. At first I thought "maybe he's from an Asian country, so maybe because of the characters they have a different font when writing latin characters". But the first one had the normal font. So what is the cause ?
(Yes it's a rather silly question, but I'm intrigued xD
Different fonts ?

some letters can be copied into gw chat, my guess is that he wrote it in word, copy&paste
to seem cool.

Maybe that person copy-pasted from word, but more likely he has some Asian Language enabled in Control Panel / Text & Language Settings.
My friend uses same font when his language is set to Simplified Chinese, and normal when he turns back language to English. However, I was unable (probably due to my lack of knowledge..) to turn it on and use it when I set Simplified Chinese as default language..

Having a different language keyboard will generally do that in GW. When I used to have my Japanese keyboard if I left it on and typed in english it would make it look weird. :p

Yeah. I'm not sure why it happens, but if you type in english after typing asian characters, your text may change fonts. It happens outside of GW too. It probably isn't copy-pasted.

I played Guildwars on an Asian notebook - it was rather annoying, because the target-call [Ctrl]+[Space] also switches between the keyboard layouts. And yes, GW uses an other font for text written with chinese input support.
