Newbies and guilds
FatDragon
Hi, I'm new to GW, level 7 so far. I'd like to find a helpful guild for newbies, but I can't seem to find any list of guilds or details about guilds. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

You also have guilds recruiting in game, usually in the major towns/outposts or wherever the zaishen objectives are. If you're like me you'll probably try a few until you find one that fits, GL.

Guilds come and go. I don't think there's any "list" of Guilds anywhere. You could contact ones in the above mentioned forum or in game. It's best overall to try to play with some of the people in a Guild before actually joining, in order to get a sense of whether you would be happy there. In any case, you may find that you've made the wrong choice. If you do, don't be concerned about leaving the Guild to try another - just be sure to tell the Guild leader (or an officer) that you are leaving and why.

In addition to the forum thread here, the wiki also has a list of player guilds that are recruitiing.

What outposts are currently open on your map?
Common recruiting areas are:
Lion's Arch-Tyria-Prophecies
Kamadan-Elona-Nightfall
Shing Jea-Cantha-Factions
Try to play with people through a mission or quest and see if their play style will work with yours.
