I know there are other threads about this SAME problem, but none seem to have a suggestion that works
Texmod WON'T run, I double click the icon, the cursor turns into the little spinning ring like it's loading, then nothing happens. I right click and select run as admin.... same thing.
I have avast free version and advanced systemcare 4 pro as my anti-virus software. If the fix is adding texmod to the exception lists could someone tell me how to do it? I can't find the exceptions lists on either program.
I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. I had windows xp on my old computer and texmod ran on that :/ But I didn't use avast or asc 4 on that computer.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
Texmod help please

Google is your friend.
And yeah, it probably is problem with residental shield of avast (which is, imho, a waste of ram and additional trouble).

Thanks It WAS avast, though adding it to the exceptions list didn't fix the problem. I just uninstalled avast since I have other anti-virus programs, and texmod loaded right up
